However, the accused Sri Rout refused to issue Labour Cards unless he was paid the demanded bribe Rs.6,000\/-. In the process there was a delay of nearly one year for issuance of cards. Hence, the Complt. reported the matter to Vigilance authorities alleging harassment by Sri Rout.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 12.09.2025, wherein the accused Sri Chittaranjan Rout, DLO was<strong>nabbed<\/strong> by the team of Odisha Vigilance in his office room for demanding and taking undue advantage (bribe) of <strong>Rs.6,000\/-(Rupees Six Thousand) <\/strong>from the complainant. The entire bribe money was recovered and seized from the possession of Sri Rout in presence of witnesses.
