This recognition underscores the success of a collaborative effort between\u00a0<strong>Model Economic Township Limited City (Reliance MET City)<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>Gram Panchayats<\/strong>, setting a pioneering example of quality of life and livelihood forcommunity transformation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-52458 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/H-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/H-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/H-1.jpg 650w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The\u00a0<strong>Model Economic Township Limited City (Reliance MET City)<\/strong>\u00a0has adopted IGBC Green Village Rating program to enhance the livelihood of villages in close collaboration with the\u00a0<strong>Gram Panchayats<\/strong>\u00a0of both villages. The green implementations were achieved by adopting the IGBC Green Village framework, a structured model that evaluates villages across six focus areas and over 75 measurable performance indicators. Through this systematic approach, Sondhi and Nimana successfully integrated sustainable solutions into community infrastructure, resource management, and livelihoods, ensuring tangible benefits for residents while setting new benchmarks in rural development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A felicitation ceremony to commemorate this achievement was held at Gram Nimana. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents, Panchayat leaders, and distinguished dignitaries.\u00a0<strong>Mr. Swapnil Ravindra Patil, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Jhajjar<\/strong>, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. <strong>Mr. Sanjay Varshney, Chairman, IGBC Delhi Chapter<\/strong>,\u00a0felicitated <strong>Sondhi<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Nimana<\/strong>\u00a0village heads in the presence of <strong>Mr. SV Goyal, Reliance MET City<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mr. Rakesh Kumar, District Education Officer<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mr. Sumit Benipal, BDPO Badli<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Mr. Sunil Gulia, President of 84 Khap<\/strong>, with IGBC\u2019s prestigious Gold Plaque along with the community members, youth, and women beneficiaries of the initiatives undertaken.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Commending the achievement at the district level,\u00a0<strong>Mr. Swapnil Ravindra Patil, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Jhajjar (Chief Guest)<\/strong>, said <em>\u201cThe recognition of Nimana and Sondhi as IGBC Green Villages is a matter of pride for our district. Their success will inspire Panchayats across India to adopt IGBC green village rating system to enhance quality of life of every citizen.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Salient Green Features Implemented:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Nimana Village<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>100% household\u00a0<strong>drinking water coverage<\/strong>\u00a0with 3,25,000-litre tank and RO facility.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Open Defecation Free (ODF)<\/strong>\u00a0with universal toilet access.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Healthcare<\/strong>\u00a0provided through an Ayushman Bharat Health &amp; Wellness Centre.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clean energy<\/strong>: Fully grid-connected, 55 kWp solar PV and 150 LED streetlights.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Water conservation<\/strong>: Renovated ponds harvesting 2.5 lakh litres annually.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Waste management<\/strong>: Composting livestock and food waste into manure.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Livelihoods<\/strong>: 170+ youth trained, 232 women skilled, 20 women-led micro-enterprises established.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Community amenities<\/strong>: 100% LPG coverage, amenities, playground, and bus service.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Smart Village features<\/strong>: e-Learning, e-Governance, Public Address System.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Sondhi Village<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>100% household\u00a0<strong>drinking water coverage<\/strong>\u00a0with 2,29,000-litre tank and RO facility.<\/li>\n<li><strong>ODF status<\/strong>\u00a0with universal toilet coverage.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Healthcare<\/strong>\u00a0access via Ayushman Bharat Health &amp; Wellness Centre.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clean energy<\/strong>: 60 kWp solar PV and solar streetlights.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Water conservation<\/strong>\u00a0through a renovated pond harvesting 2.5 lakh litres annually.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Waste management<\/strong>: Organic waste converted to manure.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Livelihoods<\/strong>: 300+ residents trained and employed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alternative income streams<\/strong>: Broom-making and bamboo furniture.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Community amenities<\/strong>: 100% LPG coverage, playground, bus service, and multiple public amenities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Smart Village features<\/strong>: e-Learning, universal digital literacy, and e-Governance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The IGBC team presented\u00a0<strong>Gold Rating certificates and plaques<\/strong>\u00a0to the Panchayats of both villages during the ceremony.
