Agriculture is a continuous process. It provides food to the people throughout the year and provides a continuous source of employment. Odisha is an agricultural state and is rich in natural resources. Its long coastline and maritime transport system are also being strengthened, said Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singhdeo.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-51010 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/A-2-1-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/A-2-1-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/A-2-1.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Empowerment and Energy Shri Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo further said that Odisha, which was previously a food deficit state, has now become a food surplus state. Providing farmers with adequate farm to market linkages, fair price for their produce, and protection of surplus grain are our priorities. Keeping this in mind, the process of constructing cold storages in every sub-division of the state is underway.
