{"id":49417,"date":"2025-04-24T10:45:44","date_gmt":"2025-04-24T10:45:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/?p=49417"},"modified":"2025-04-24T10:45:44","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T10:45:44","slug":"swc-grants-in-principle-approval-for-renewable-energy-projects-worth-%e2%82%b91191-47crores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/2025\/04\/24\/swc-grants-in-principle-approval-for-renewable-energy-projects-worth-%e2%82%b91191-47crores\/","title":{"rendered":"SWC Grants In-Principle Approval for Renewable Energy Projects Worth \u20b91191.47Crores"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bhubaneswar,24\/4\/2025 ( Odisha Samachar \/ Rajat Mohapatra )-The Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Govt. of Odisha, Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, IAS, chaired the 10<sup>th<\/sup>Single Window Committee (SWC) meeting under the Odisha Renewable Energy Policy-2022, marking another milestone in the State\u2019s Renewable Energy journey.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-49418 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/E-1-300x170.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"170\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/E-1-300x170.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/E-1.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The committee, in its 10<sup>th<\/sup>meeting, granted in-principle approval to seven renewable energy (RE) projects with a cumulative capacity of 149.97 MW and an investment of \u20b91191.47Crores, aimed at strengthening Odisha\u2019s sustainable energy infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The approved projects include 2 Wind Power Projects of 95.7 MW, 4 Ground Based Solar Projects of 53.97 MW and firstBattery Storage Project of 0.6MWh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These projects will leverage Odisha\u2019s natural potential for renewable energy generation, emphasizing the State\u2019s commitment to achieving its renewable energy goals under the Odisha Renewable Energy Policy-2022.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking on the occasion, Shri Vishal Dev emphasized the importance of renewable energy in driving sustainable economic growth. Officials from Energy Department, Water Resources Department, Revenue &amp; DM Department, GRIDCO, OPTCL, Electricity Distribution Companies, OHPC, and EIC (Electricity) participated in the meeting.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-49421 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/E-4-300x166.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"166\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/E-4-300x166.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/E-4.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Government\u2019s proactive policies and streamlined processes through the Single Window Committee of the Energy Department and its Nodal Agency GRIDCO continue to attract investments in the renewable energy sector, paving the way for a sustainable and self-reliant Odisha.
