Bhubaneswar, 22\/01\/2025 ( Odisha Samachar \/ Rajat Mohapatra )-On the 2nd day of the workshop, the group deliberated on the tasks to be done, timelines, plan of action, and roles and responsibilities focused on operationalizing Sishu Vatikas and the development of textbooks upto Grade 2. The roadmap should align with NEP 2020 and NCF 2023, focusing on reducing curriculum load, introducing vocational education, and promoting experiential learning. The groups discuss about introducing new subjects, adopting innovative teaching methods, using diverse assessments, and ensuring well-organized timetables to achieve learning standards.\"\"<\/p>\n

Groups also discussed few critical aspects like consolidation of multiple Boards for effective instruction and assessment, developing a secondary phase-2 state curriculum framework is required with clear-cut curricular goals and learning outcomes. Teachers share their experiences on the implementation of the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) and assessment register at different grade levels in Government schools of Odisha. They also shared the challenges they are facing in the implementation of the HPC at the school level.<\/p>\n

The Groups also added Formation of a dedicated Task Force and gap analysis to align teacher education and professional development with NEP 2020. The session commenced with a presentation outlining the implementation plan for skill education in Odisha’s schools. The discussion was made on infrastructure and funding, Concentrating on teacher recruitment and training and addressing assessment and certification. The Groups emphasized on technology to help teachers and their continuous professional development. Appropriate and safe use of AI across teaching learning and administrative processes.\"\"<\/p>\n

\nThe group members suggested addressing infrastructure and teacher-related issues and aligning with NEP 2020 in the SCF, highlighting Panch Kosh (Indian psychology and philosophy) in a simplified manner within the curriculum. It was suggested that Inclusivity needs to be prioritized in teaching-learning materials, activities, and school processes.<\/p>\n
