Stressed upon growing of bio- fortified seeds<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bhubaneswar,30\/09\/2024(Odisha Samachar \/ Rajat Mohapatra)- The 46th Annual General Meeting of Odisha State Seeds Corporation was held today at the registered office of the company. \"\"The shareholders from various districts actively participated in the meeting.\"\" The Principal Secretary Dr.Arabinda Kumar Padhee, AG & FE Department Odisha who has recently joined as Chairman of the Corporation in his speech highlighted the various initiatives taken by the Govt. for the farmers of the state.<\/p>\n

The Chairman Dr.Padhee touching upon various core issues of the corporation assured the shareholders to fulfill their demand with the resources available with the Corporation and also to assist from various schemes of the Government for the farming community. \"\"\"\"In his speech, the chairman Dr.Padhee emphasized the production of non- paddy seeds in the state and also to grow other Horticultural Crops for doubling the farmer\u2019s income. As growing of paddy seeds inside the state are widely cultivated, he has also pointed out growing of bio- fortified seeds for marketability. It was also stressed upon to maintain zero tolerance and transparency in functioning of the officials for catering the services to the farming community and also requested the shareholders who are growing of the Corporation for seed entrepreneurship.\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

The Managing Director, Sri Bhabesh Kumar Nayak, elaborated the activities of the Corporation and vision to make the corporation as a vibrant one for the future years so that the ORISEED brand will be a popular name amongst the farmers. The Grower Shareholder Director, Sri Ashok Kumar Baral highlighted the importance for maintenance of quality for using the ORISEED brand for enhancement of Seed Replacement Rate (SRR) in the state. The Director, OSSOPCA, Dean of Research, OUAT and other senior officers of the AG&FE Department were present in the meeting.<\/p>\n
