Bhubaneswar, <\/em>23\/9\/2024 ( Odisha Samachar\/Rajat Mohapatra)-The 1st meeting of the State level Steering Committee for preparation of the Vision Document \u201cViksitOdisha @ 2036 for Viksit Bharat @ 2047\u201d was held at\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 LokSevaBhawanon 21st September, 2024, Saturday. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Steering Committee and Chief Secretary, OdishaShriManojAhuja.<\/p>\n

Stock taking ofthe First round meeting held by different 6 Sectoral Group of Secretaries was discussed in the Steering Committee meeting held. Preliminary presentations on progress made so far by Sectoral Group of Secretaries working on thematic areas like 1. Economy, Industries and Infrastructure, 2.Social & Human Development, 3.Culture & Heritage, 4.Technology and Innovation, 5. Good Governance and 5. Rural Transformation\u00a0 were\u00a0 discussed,\u00a0 and suggestions\u00a0\u00a0 given for further development.<\/p>\n

The Chief Secretary, in his address has said that, the preparation of the Vision Document is a unique opportunity for us. This will have our priority and approach to prepare a realistic document in a much more disciplined manner, and for this; he sought the cooperation of all Sectoral Group of Secretaries.<\/p>\n

The Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary to Government &also member of the Steering Committee Smt. AnuGarg, briefed about the progress of work of different Sectoral Group of Secretaries and suggested that the Vision Document should be in the context of ensuring regional balance and social and economic development of the State. She has also suggested tofollow international best practices in different sectors. The vision document should aim to be aspirational for a developed Odisha by 2036 to meet the national aspirations of developed India by 2047, she added.\"\"<\/p>\n

Among other members of the Steering Committee,Additional Chief Secretary,Home, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department ShriSatyabrataSahoo, ACS, Steel and Mines Department ShriSurendra Kumar,\u00a0 Principal Secretaries and Commissioner-cum-Secretaries who are also\u00a0 members of various\u00a0 Sectoral Groups of Secretaries participated in the discussion.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \"\"\u00a0 It was agreed upon in the meeting that the Sectoral Groups of Secretaries and Steering Committee will obtain inputs from the citizens, civil society organizations, policymakers, academia, public intellectuals, think tanks, business, and industry leaders to prepare the Vision Document for different Sectoral Groups.
