Around 20 farmers and farm women from various blocks of Jagatsinghpur district actively participated in the programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The training covered detailed aspects of mushroom spawn production, including laboratory equipment such as autoclaves,<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-43662 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/M-3-300x139.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/M-3-300x139.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/M-3.jpeg 581w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/> laminar air flow units, and the use of various chemicals and ingredients. <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-43663 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/M-4-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/M-4-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/M-4.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Participants gained hands-on experience in preparing mother culture, sub-culture, mother spawn, and commercial spawn. They were directly involved in activities such as media preparation, tissue culture, and spawn production.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-43664 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/M-5-300x190.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/M-5-300x190.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/M-5.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Additionally, the training highlighted the potential of mushrooms, including their medicinal value, and the scope for off-season cultivation. Participants were introduced to cultivation techniques for paddy straw mushrooms, oyster mushrooms (Dhingri), milky mushrooms, and Ganoderma mushrooms. Post-harvest management, value-added product preparation, and disease and pest management were also covered. Information on government schemes supporting mushroom cultivation was shared.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The program was led by Ms. Sasamita Purohit, Scientist at KVK Jagatsinghpur. On the final day, the Senior Scientist and Head distributed certificates to the participants. The program was coordinated by other scientists and technical staff.
