{"id":40414,"date":"2024-04-30T07:10:43","date_gmt":"2024-04-30T07:10:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/?p=40414"},"modified":"2024-04-30T07:10:43","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T07:10:43","slug":"pluss-advanced-technologies-launches-brrf-pluss-jackets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/2024\/04\/30\/pluss-advanced-technologies-launches-brrf-pluss-jackets\/","title":{"rendered":"PLUSS Advanced Technologies launches Brrf PLUSS Jackets"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The Brrf-Pluss jackets are an innovative personal wearable cooling technology that can be worn by workers and personnels who spend a considerable amount of time outdoors, such as in construction sites, mines, furnaces, shopfloor, delivery agents, insurance surveyors and on the field sales representatives.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The Brrf-Pluss wearable solution aims at protecting the workforce from heat stress related injuries and fatigue during hot temperatures.<\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The Brrf-Pluss wearable cooling tech is based on \u2018phase change material\u2019 technology that can maintain temperature approximately up to 15 \u00b0C less than the ambient temperature.<\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>PLUSS Advanced Technologies is running a pilot with the Gurugram Traffic Police where they have given 15 jackets to the traffic police personnel to ensure\u00a0<\/em><em>they do not suffer from heat stroke while on duty.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>New Delhi,30 April 2024 ( Odisha Samachar) :\u00a0<\/strong>Pluss Advanced Technologies has launched a cooling wearable technology that can be worn by workers who are outdoors, such as on construction sites, mines, furnaces, shopfloor, in order to prevent heat stress related injuries and fatigue during hot temperatures. <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-40415 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Jacket-260x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Jacket-260x300.jpg 260w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Jacket.jpg 382w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 260px) 100vw, 260px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A study conducted across 70,000 factories in India has estimated that there is a 4% drop in productivity for every 1 \u00b0C increase in temperature above 27 \u00b0C, as workers tend to be less productive and be absent more often at higher ambient temperatures. The wearable tech uses \u2018<strong>phase change materials,\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0which work on the principle of \u2018energy storage and release\u2019 to maintain a lower temperature than the ambient temperature.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The wearable cooling tech have been designed to offer two options:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>The first design maintains the optimum thermal comfort for the body for up to 8 hours at an ambient temperature lower than 40 deg C. The solution consists of an inner vest which houses a pouch containing \u00a0 Phase Change Materials (PCM), and an outer jacket which is connected to pair of small ventilation fans attached that is powered by a portable Li-ion battery pack and the complete kit weighs just under 500 grams.<\/li>\n<li>The second design maintains the optimum thermal comfort for the body for up to 8 hours at an ambient temperature higher than 40 deg C. The solution consists of an inner vest which houses four pouches containing Phase Change Materials (PCM), and an outer jacket which is connected to pair of small ventilation fans attached that is powered by a portable Li-ion battery pack and the complete kit weighs just under 2 Kilograms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Brrf-PLUSS wearable cooling tech is based on Phase Change Materials (PCM) technology that can maintain a temperature gradient of up to 15\u00b0C lower than the ambient temperature. The Phase Change Materials\u2019 (PCM) pouches for the Brrf-Pluss jackets can be easily recharged by placing it in a refrigerator. A conventional refrigerator or commercial cooler that maintains a temperature of +10 deg C is sufficient to recharge the PCM packs. The Brrf-Pluss cooling tech themselves are easy to assemble, use and maintain, and come in a number of sizes and colours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-40416 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Jacket-1-300x204.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"204\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Jacket-1-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Jacket-1-110x75.jpg 110w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Jacket-1.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Commenting on the launch,\u00a0<strong>Vishnu Sasidharan, Vice President, Pluss Advanced Technologies<\/strong>\u00a0said, \u201c<em>The body&#8217;s normal temperature is 37 to 38 \u00b0C, when heat is excessive in the environment the body&#8217;s cooling mechanism takes up more energy and the rest of the body has to bear with less energy, which can explain the lower productivity during hot conditions. Brrf-Pluss jackets have been designed to make wearer constantly exposed to the environment comfortable during high temperatures<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Use of PCMs for cooling serves as a better alternative to ice as temperature maintained with ice packs rise with time as ice melts. The \u2018phase change materials\u2019 have been designed and developed in India by Pluss Advanced Technologies; the vest fabric and design has been made by Mumbai based\u00a0Brrf\u00a0manufacturer.
