Judge, Vigilance, Keonjhar TR No.08\/2017 U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(d)\/7\/12 PC Act, 1988 <strong>for demanding and accepting bribe from a complainant for demarcation of his land<\/strong>, was convicted by Hon\u2019ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Keonjhar and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 4 years and fine of Rs.2,000\/- and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 months more for the\u00a0 offence U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(d) of PC Act, 1988. The Hon&#8217;ble Court further sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years and fine of Rs.2,000\/- and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 months more for the\u00a0 offence U\/s 7 PC Act,1988. Both the sentences are to run concurrently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Today the convict Sri Banchhanidhi Satpathy, Ex-Revenue\u00a0 Inspector (Retired) was sent to jail custody to serve his sentence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Sri Banchhanidhi Satpathy, Ex-Revenue\u00a0 Inspector (Retired) following his conviction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Smt. Hemamalini Nayak, Ex-Inspector, Vigilance, Balasore Division, A\/p-DSP, Vigilance, Sambalpur Division had investigated the case and Sri Debadutta Biswal, Spl.
