A total of Rs 56, 93,000 was awarded to recipients of 269 medals. <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-39366 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Krida-1-300x176.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"176\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Krida-1-300x176.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Krida-1.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Present at the ceremony, to recognise and felicitate the athletes were Padma Shri Dilip Tirkey, Chairman of the Hockey Promotion Council of Odisha, Shri Siddhartha Das, Sports Director and Shri Deepankar Mohapatra, CEO of Hockey Promotion Council of Odisha .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The athletes felicitated were from over 20 disciplines including, Athletics, Swimming, Rugby, Hockey, Badminton, Weightlifting, Karate, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Tennis etc, for in various competitions including national and international events.\u00a0 Amongst the athletes felicitated was Pratyasa Ray who was recognised with a cash award of Rs 3,82,000 for her impressive haul of 12 medals across the recently concluded Khelo India University Games 2023 and the All-India University Games 2023.\u00a0 Notably, Pratyasa Ray also emerged as the most successful athlete with four gold, one silver and one bronze medal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-39367 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Krida-2-300x130.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"130\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Krida-2-300x130.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Krida-2.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Notably,\u00a0 providing cash prizes to medal winners in various sports is a part of the many initiatives deployed by the Government of Odisha towards the promotion of sports.
