The Institute observed an open day where in young school children fromArjunaswardev Nodal High School,KairiPipiliand RadhamohandevUchaBidyapitha,GangapurpatnaDelanga came and explored fishery science. Scientists of the institute took the student on a guided tour to farm facilities Diversified species, Murrel Unit,Air breathing fish, Feed Mill, Pearl culture unit and Aquarium. S. Giri, Head, Fish Nutrition Physiology Division, ICAR-CIFAgraced the occasion as Chief Guest and inspired the students to follow the path of science for betterment of society<br \/>\nHe elaborated on this year\u2019s theme for National Science Day 2024 \u2018Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat\u2019, which matches with innovation and accomplishments of Indian scientists to address challenges through home-grown technologies for overall well-being. Meher, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIFA welcomed guests and the students. Dr. Chandrakant Mishra, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIFA gave a brief outline on the significance of this day.Sri Anil Paikray, TGT,Arjunaswardev Nodal High School,KairiPipilisaid thatthis exposure visit to such a large institute and its facilities will have a persistingimpression on the young minds.
