While addressing the gathering, he said that sports events results in holistic development of personality, physically fitness, mentally sharp, emotionally balanced and socially well adjusted. The Director of ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack, Dr. A.K. Nayak, officiated the opening ceremony, marking the commencement of a series of diverse sports events. In his address, he said that sports provide a platform to develop different social values such as co-operation, assertion, responsibility, sympathy and self-esteem.
