Sharing the objective of the celebration, Mrs. RosalinPattnaik, M.D. RITLEENAshared that \u201cRaja Mahoutsav is the pride of Odisha through which freedom and dignity of the women is respected\u201d The programme was inaugurated by Ms Swapa Pati (Actor and Model) Ms. ShradhanjaliSamantaray Former Indian women\u2019s Footballer and Coach of Odisha Women police. Addressing in the programme, Mrs. Samantaray said, \u201cRaja Mahoutsav exhibits womanhood, fertility and cultural heritage of Odisha\u201d. It is to be noted that Raja Mahoutsav is exclusively celebrated in Odisha to celebrate the period when mother Earth undergoes rejuvenation and becomes fertile for agricultural activities. Raja is marked by various rituals and customs, including swinging on decorated swings, playing traditional games, applying special turmeric paste called &#8220;alata&#8221; on hands, wearing new clothes and taking verities o food amongst the girls and women of Odisha. <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-32472 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/R-2-300x182.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"194\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/R-2-300x182.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/R-2.jpeg 650w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/>On the occasion, RITLEENA organized various competitions amongst girl\u2019s child and distributed prizes to the winners.
