Dr. H.K. Dey, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIFA, Bhubaneswar highlighted about the food security, promotion of various agri-entrepreneurial activities for sustainable livelihood, various schemes implemented by the Government of India for eradicating hunger &amp; malnutrition.\u00a0 Mr. A.K. Dash, Senior Scientist &amp; Head, KVK-Khordhafocused about the application of modern technologies in agriculture to enhance the production and productivity of agricultural crops.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-26793 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/world-food-day-1-300x138.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"138\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/world-food-day-1-300x138.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/world-food-day-1.jpg 650w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/> He also briefed about the various activities under taken by KVK-Khordha towards nutritional security and promotion of organic\/ natural farming practices in the district. Shri KedareswarChoudhuri, Secretary, Darbar Sahitya Sanshad, Khordha enlighten the women participants to consume balance diet for better health and ensure healthy diet for their family. Dr. P.R. Sahoo, SMS (Fishery Science) emphasized on the importance of fish culture in diversifying the income source of the farmers\/ farmwomen. A total of 75participants from Bhakarsahi, Haladibasanta, Naranpur, Bandha Sahi, Mendhasala, Rajas and RoudeDeuli villages of Balipatna and Bhubaneswar Blocks of Khordha district participated in the programme.
