Sukanti Behera, ACTO (Home Science) welcomed the distinguished dignitaries and the participants. Mr. A.K. Dash, Senior Scientist &amp; Head, KVK-Khordha graced the occasion and highlighted the important contributions of the women towards food security, crop production, involvement in various entrepreneurial activities pertaining to agriculture and allied sectors to improve their socio-economic status and contributing to the national economic development. Smt. Kumudini Swain, the Chairman of Maheera Farmer\u2019s Producer Company Ltd, Balipatna, Khordha thrust upon participation of women farmers in agriculture and allied activities through FPO for development. Five farmwomen were felicitated for their immense contribution in the field of agriculture, animal husbandry, fishery, agri-entrepreneurship development, food processing and value addition.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-26790 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Mahil-kisan-diwas-2-300x138.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"138\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Mahil-kisan-diwas-2-300x138.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Mahil-kisan-diwas-2.jpg 650w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/> The farmwomen shared their valuable experiences in agriculture and allied sectors which enlighten other farmwomen to adopt agriculture as their livelihood. \u00a0Vegetables seeds and mango saplings were distributed to all the participants for developing kitchen garden on their backyard to strengthen their family nutritional status.The Zilla Parisad Member of Zone-21, Sarapanch and Samiti Member of Narisho Gram panchayat and Board of Directors ofMaheera Farmer\u2019s Producer Company Ltd, Balipatna, Khordha present on this occasion.
