Case No.34 dtd.15.08.2018 U\/s 7 Prevention of Corruption Amendment Act, 2018 for demand and acceptance of illegal gratification (bribe) of Rs.10,000\/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) from the complainant for not implicating him as an accused in a case registered in Chakapada Police Station was convicted by the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Phulbani and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years and to pay fine of Rs.10,000\/-(Rupees Ten Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 4 months for the offence U\/s 7 Prevention of Corruption Amendment Act, 2018. <strong>Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Sri Parida following his conviction.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sri Rabikant Suna, Ex-DSP, Vigilance Barhampur Division, A\/p-DSP, Vigilance, Cuttack Division had investigated the case and Sri V.V. Ramdas, Spl.
