Case No.2 dated 01.01.1987 U\/s 5(2) r\/w 5(1)(c)(d) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947\/409\/468\/471\/477-A IPC for misappropriation of Govt. money meant for Pre-matric Scholarship of SC &amp; ST students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today, i.e. on 30.7.2022, the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Balasore convicted Sri Hrushikesh Mallik, Ex-Welfare Extension Officer (Retired) and sentenced him to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of 1 year and to pay fine of Rs.5,000\/- (Rupees Five Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further simple imprisonment for a period of 2 months for the offence U\/s 5(2) r\/w 5(1)(c) of PC Act. The Hon\u2019ble Court further sentenced him to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of 1 year and to pay fine of Rs.3,000\/-(Rupees Three Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further simple imprisonment for a period of 1 month for the offence U\/s 5(2) r\/w 5(1)(d) of PC Act. The Hon\u2019ble Court further sentenced him to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of 1 year and to pay fine of Rs.2,000\/-(Rupees Two Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further simple imprisonment for a period of 15 days for the offence U\/s 409 IPC. The Hon\u2019ble Court further sentenced him to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of 1 year and to pay fine of Rs.2,000\/-(Rupees Two Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further simple imprisonment for a period of 15 days for the offence U\/s 468 IPC. The Hon\u2019ble Court further sentenced him to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of 6 months and to pay fine of Rs.1,000\/-(Rupees One Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further simple imprisonment for a period of 10 days for the offence U\/s 471 IPC. The Hon\u2019ble Court further sentenced him to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of 1 year and to pay fine of Rs.2,000\/-(Rupees Two Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further simple imprisonment for a period of 15 days for the offence U\/s 477-A IPC. All the sentences are to run concurrently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sri M.M. Mohapatra, Ex-DSP Vigilance, Balasore Division had investigated the case and Sk. Haziruddin, Spl.
