Case No.16 dated 28.3.2009 U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(c) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988\/409\/468\/471\/201\/120-B IPC for misappropriation of Govt. money of\u00a0 Rs.1,00,000\/- by manipulating the amount of the cheque from Rs.95,000\/- to Rs.1,95,000\/-<strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today, i.e. on 22.7.2022, the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore convicted Sri Manoj Kumar Beura, Ex-J.E. and Sri Gopinath Mallik,\u00a0\u00a0 Ex-Senior Clerk-cum-Cashier of Bandhugaon Block, Dist-Koraput and sentenced them to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and to pay fine of Rs.10,000\/- (Rupees Ten Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 months on each count for the offence U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13 (1)(c) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and Section 409\/120-B IPC. Both the sentences are to run concurrently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sri Susanta Kumar Biswal, DSP Vigilance, Koraput Division had investigated the case and Sri M. Balaji Rao, Spl.
