Subhashree Priyadarshini, Ex-RI, Kiakata Revenue Circle under Athamallik Tahasil, Dist-Angul, A\/p-RI, Pallahara, Dist-Angul was facing trial in the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Angul in Cuttack Vigilance P.S. Case No.51 dated 28.09.2015 U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(d)\/7 Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 for demand and acceptance of illegal gratification of Rs.4,500\/- (Rupees Four Thousand Five Hundred) from a complainant to submit verification report to the Tahasildar, Athamallik for issuance of RoR in favour of Complt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today i.e. on 10.05.2022, the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Angul convicted Smt. Subhashree Priyadarshini, RI and sentenced her to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000\/- (Rupees Five Thousand) for the offence U\/s 7 Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The Hon\u2019ble Court further sentenced her to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 4 years and to pay fine of Rs.8,000\/-(Rupees Eight Thousand) for the offence U\/s 13(1)(d) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Both the sentences are to run concurrently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Smt. J. Pradhan Ex-Inspector of Vigilance, Cuttack Division had investigated the case and Sri Udaya Sankar Mishra, Spl.
