Sundari Kandhapan, Ex-ICDS Supervisor (Dismissed), Lamtaput Block, Dist-Koraput was facing trial in the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore in Koraput Vigilance P.S. Case No.24 dated 28.06.2013 U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(d) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988\/420\/468\/471\/477-A\/120-B IPC for the offence committed by her for availing promotion to ICDS Supervisor from Anganwadi Worker by producing fake matriculation certificate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 07.04.2022, the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore convicted Smt. Sundari Kandhapan, Ex-ICDS Supervisor and sentenced her to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000\/- (Rupees Five Thousand) on each count, and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 months on each count for the offence U\/s \u00a013(2) r\/w 13(1)(d) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988\/420\/471 IPC. All the sentences are to run concurrently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sri Sarat Chandra Sahu, Ex-Inspector Vigilance, Koraput Division, A\/p-DSP, Vigilance, Berhampur Division had investigated the case and Sri M.
