{"id":20508,"date":"2022-02-17T08:52:26","date_gmt":"2022-02-17T08:52:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/?p=20508"},"modified":"2022-02-17T08:55:17","modified_gmt":"2022-02-17T08:55:17","slug":"doctor-community-health-centre-chc-charichhaka-nimapara-dist-puri-arrested-by-vigilance-while-accepting-rs-8000-bribe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/2022\/02\/17\/doctor-community-health-centre-chc-charichhaka-nimapara-dist-puri-arrested-by-vigilance-while-accepting-rs-8000-bribe\/","title":{"rendered":"DOCTOR, COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE (CHC), CHARICHHAKA, NIMAPARA, DIST-PURI ARRESTED\u00a0BY VIGILANCE WHILE ACCEPTING RS.8,000\/- BRIBE."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>cash rs.1.12 crore recovered DURING HOUSE SEARCH.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cuttack, 17\/2\/2022( Odisha Samachar )- On 16.02.2022, Dr. Sukant Kumar Jena, Gynecology Specialist, Community Health Centre (CHC), Charichhaka, Nimapara, Dist-Puri was <strong>apprehended <\/strong>by Odisha Vigilance <strong>for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of <\/strong><strong>Rs.3,000\/- post operation and Rs.5,000\/- pre operation i.e. Rs.8,000\/-(Rupees Eight Thousand)<\/strong> from a complainant for conducting Caesarean Operation of his cousin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 16.02.2022 \u00a0wherein the accused Dr. Sukant Kumar Jena was caught by the team of Odisha Vigilance in his rest room at CHC, Charichhaka campus while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.8,000\/- (Rupees Eight Thousand) from complainant. The entire bribe money was recovered from the possession of Dr. Jena and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash of Dr. Jena gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. <strong>He has been arrested <\/strong><strong>and is being forwarded to the\u00a0Court today<\/strong><strong>. <\/strong>In this connection Bhubaneswar Vigilance P.S. Case No.4 dated 16.02.2022 U\/s 7 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-20510 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Doctor-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Doctor-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Doctor.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following the trap, <strong>search was launched<\/strong> on the residential building of Dr. Jena at Nandan Vihar, Nageswar Residency, Patia, Bhubaneswar. During searches, apart from other recoveries, the following assets including hard cash have been recovered in the name of Dr. Jena and his family members so far;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Cash worth Rs.1,12,00,000\/- (Rupees One Crore Twelve Lakh) has been recovered and seized.
