Against the backdrop of the positive economic<br \/>\noutlook, SEPs would stand to benefit by creating engaging social media content<br \/>\nthat successfully creates awareness and demand for their services and<br \/>\nofferings.<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nMOU, which was signed by Anthony Chew, Director of Infocomm Technology (ICT) at<br \/>\nNTUC LHUB and David Jay Gomez, Head of Brand Partnerships, SEA, at TikTok, signifies<br \/>\nthe mutual commitment of both TikTok and NTUC LHUB to deliver quality training and<br \/>\nresources in social media marketing and content creation. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As<br \/>\nmore small businesses turn to digital platforms to reach new audiences, many<br \/>\nare leveraging new age platforms such as TikTok which has exceeded 240 million<br \/>\nusers in Southeast Asia alone. From increasing brand awareness to extending<br \/>\ntheir business reach, TikTok has played a key role in helping local<br \/>\nmicro-businesses such as Vintagewknd, a sustainable fashion store, and Dear<br \/>\nModern, run by a Singaporean architect, to connect directly with their<br \/>\ncustomers and grow their presence online.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To<br \/>\nboost outreach efforts, NTUC LHUB will leverage its strong network within the<br \/>\nLabour Movement and its associations such as the Freelancers and Self-Employed<br \/>\nUnit (U FSE), Singapore National Co-Operative Federation (SNCF) and Young NTUC.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In<br \/>\naddition, as part of the initiative, NTUC LHUB will work closely with TikTok to<br \/>\ndevelop a suite of courses that empower content creators to grow their brand<br \/>\npresence on social media platforms. As a start, NTUC LHUB will begin running<br \/>\nthe TikTok-endorsed &#8216;Design Thinking for Social Media&#8217; course in March 2022,<br \/>\nwhich has already received strong interest from content creators. The two-day<br \/>\ncourse leverages design thinking concepts for social media content creation.
