HANOI, VIETNAM – Media OutReach<\/a> – 11 January 2022 – TechnoPark Tower in Vinhomes Ocean Park<\/a> in the capital\u00a0has been
\nofficially awarded the V4 LEED Platinum Green Building Certificate by the US
\nGreen Building Council.<\/i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b>This is the world’s
\nmost prestigious certification that honours green buildings for their
\ncapability to save energy and protect the environment.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to assessment
\nresults from the US Green Building Council, the LEED Platinum V4 version is the
\nmost difficult\u00a0LEED rating level\u00a0to date.<\/p>\n

To achieve this
\ncertificate, the TechnoPark Tower had to satisfy the nine most rigorous
\ncriteria from design to operation, including: integrated design, location and
\nconnectivity, sustainable location, efficient use of water, energy and
\natmosphere, materials and resources, indoor air quality, innovation initiatives
\nand regional scores.<\/p>\n

TechnoPark Tower achieved
\na maximum score in many of the criteria.<\/p>\n

TechnoPark Tower has the
\nability to save up to 17.4 per cent\u00a0of total annual energy
\nconsumption\u00a0compared to the standard level, owing to energy-efficient
\nsolutions such as low-E insulating glass facades which helps to minimize heat
\ntransfer in both directions from outside to inside and from inside to outside;
\nventilation systems for the parking lot and the green roof, which helps to
\nreduce the heat transfer coefficient; and solar panels on the lake’s
\nsurface\u00a0next to TechnoPark Tower to generate a renewable energy source for
\nthe tower.<\/p>\n

Inside the tower, nearly
\n3,000 Siemens motion sensors are installed to automatically turn the lights on
\nin\u00a0unoccupied areas, and there are on and off and dim lights in the
\nparking basement to save energy. The entire exterior lighting system is
\ncontrolled by a timer to reduce light pollution.<\/p>\n

More than 75% of the
\nworkspace enjoys natural daylight in the range of 300 lux to 3,000 lux,
\nallowing tenants to reduce electricity consumption inside the building.<\/p>\n

In terms of water
\nefficiency, TechnoPark Tower makes full use of rainwater collected at storage
\ntanks to water plants, while using low-flow sanitary equipment to minimize
\nwater consumption at\u00a0source.<\/p>\n

Greenery occupies 25 per
\ncent\u00a0of the total area of the building, with the highlight being the chill
\nsky gardens where native drought-tolerant plants are grown to save water.<\/p>\n

In addition, to encourage
\ntenants to use environmentally friendly transportation, there are multiple
\ncharging stations for electric vehicles in the tower’s parking basement; there
\nare also 660 bicycle parking slots as well as bathrooms for those who cycle to
\nwork.<\/p>\n

Moreover, right next to
\nthe tower’s lobby is a smart electric VinBus pick-up point, promoting green
\ntransportation both inside and outside the complex.<\/p>\n

On top of these
\noutstanding advantages, TechnoPark Tower is also equipped with many innovative
\nsmart features deployed by VinSmart.<\/p>\n

Before the LEED Platinum
\naward\u00a0in November 2021, TechnoPark Tower was honoured as the first
\nbuilding in Viet Nam\u00a0to win Most Intelligent District award at the
\nprestigious Digie Awards (USA).<\/p>\n

Having received prestigious
\nworld-class certifications and awards, TechnoPark Tower is gradually realizing
\nits goal of becoming one of the Top 10 smartest buildings in the world.<\/p>\n

These are worthy
\nachievements for a “heartfelt construction”\u00a0marking the great
\nprogress of Viet Nam’s stature\u00a0on the global technology map.<\/p>\n
