{"id":19746,"date":"2021-12-29T15:09:45","date_gmt":"2021-12-29T15:09:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/?p=19746"},"modified":"2021-12-29T15:10:21","modified_gmt":"2021-12-29T15:10:21","slug":"junior-engineerje-rw-section-i-digapahandi-under-rural-works-division-ii-berhampur-dist-ganjam-arrested-by-vigilance-for-disproportionate-assets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/2021\/12\/29\/junior-engineerje-rw-section-i-digapahandi-under-rural-works-division-ii-berhampur-dist-ganjam-arrested-by-vigilance-for-disproportionate-assets\/","title":{"rendered":"JUNIOR ENGINEER( JE ), RW SECTION-I, DIGAPAHANDI UNDER RURAL WORKS DIVISION-II, BERHAMPUR, DIST-GANJAM ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE FOR DISPROPORTIONATE ASSETS."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cuttack,29\/12\/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- On the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Sri Bansidhara Sethi, Junior Engineer (JE), RW Section-I, Digapahandi under Rural Works Division-II, Berhampur, Dist-Ganjam, <strong>simultaneous house searches<\/strong> were conducted at 5 places in Ganjam district on 28.12.2021 by 5 teams of Odisha Vigilance led by 2 DSsP, 6 Inspectors and other staff on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur. <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-18333 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Vigilance-300x143.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"269\" height=\"128\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Vigilance-300x143.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Vigilance.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 269px) 100vw, 269px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1 triple storeyed building at<\/strong> <strong>Shakti Nagar, Berhampur, 5 numbers of plots at Nimakhandi and Ambapua in Berhampur Town, 2 numbers of two wheelers, Insurance deposits worth Rs.10.46 Lakh, gold &amp; silver ornaments worth Rs.10 Lakh and other movable and immovable properties, all totalling to over Rs 1.17 Crore <\/strong>were unearthed during the house search.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After thorough search, inventory and further enquiry, the income, expenditure and assets of Sri Bansidhara Sethi, Junior Engineer were calculated and he was found in possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income to the tune of\u00a0<strong>137%<\/strong> <strong>of his <\/strong><strong>known sources of income<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As\u00a0Sri Bansidhara Sethi, JE,\u00a0 RW Section-I, Digapahandi under Rural Works Division-II, Berhampur, Dist-Ganjam was\u00a0found in possession of disproportionate assets, which he could not account for satisfactorily, Berhampur Vigilance P.S. Case No.20 dt.29.12.2021 was registered against Sri Bansidhara Sethi, JE and his spouse U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(b)\/12 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act-2018.\u00a0In course of investigation, today i.e. on 29.12.2021, Sri Bansidhara Sethi, JE was arrested and forwarded to the Court\u00a0of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur.
