\nlogistics service provider Rhenus in Hong Kong collaborates with Geek+ to
\nco-develop smart logistics solutions through automation of warehousing
\noperations with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).<\/b><\/p>\nGeek+, a global AMR leader, and Rhenus Hong
\nKong are proud to announce the successful deployment of the first AMR-operated Rhenus
\nwarehouse in Asia. <\/p>\n

The impact of COVID-19 continues to be felt on
\nglobal supply chain operations, with the disruption of the labour market having
\nexacerbated labour shortages. The innovation-focused, solutions-oriented
\nlogistics provider Rhenus Hong Kong will adopt Geek+’s advanced robotics and AI
\ntechnologies in a proof-of-concept warehousing project in the country. This is the
\nlatest Rhenus initiative in the region and is part of its ongoing strategy to
\ndeepen its focus on IT-driven digitalisation by tapping into smart logistics to
\nbuild a sustainable and robust supply chain.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Since 2019, Rhenus has been making strategic tech-driven
\ninvestments in Greater China, especially across its warehousing business
\ndivision, including automated solutions to improve the efficiency of its
\nwarehouses and operational processes. With the Geek+ solution, Rhenus Hong Kong
\ncan handle large volumes of orders, flexibly meet rapidly changing SKUs, and
\nimprove order-fulfilment performance. The Hong Kong site will be the first
\nsmart Rhenus warehouse in the Asia-Pacific.<\/p>\n

\nclosely with Geek+, we not only realise warehouse digitalisation, but also improve
\noperational efficiency and accuracy, translating to greater cost-savings for
\ncustomers in the long run.”<\/p>\n
The Rhenus Hong Kong
\nwarehouse will use Geek+ Goods-to-person solutions. Robots will be used as part
\nof the system to automatically bring goods to the operators, achieving 99.99
\npercent accuracy. The solution also helps maximise warehouse storage as aisle
\nspace is minimised.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
One of the features of the AI-driven system are
\nGeek+’s proprietary algorithms. They optimise order combinations and adjust the
\ninventory layouts in real time, maximising efficiency. In the Rhenus Hong Kong warehouse,
\nover 2,000 SKUs of cosmetic products are constantly arranged according to
\npopularity and expiry date.<\/p>\n
