Embracing Chinese philosophy and culture, Hong Kong is the ideal&#13;<br \/>\nplace for academic and cultural exchanges to explore the way forward for&#13;<br \/>\nfurthering the global development of TCM, and its role in combating the&#13;<br \/>\npandemic through collaboration between practitioners and public sectors.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Sang Binsheng, Vice President and&#13;<br \/>\nSecretary General of WFCMS added, &#8220;Hong Kong is renowned for being the&#13;<br \/>\n&#8216;World&#8217;s Meeting Place&#8217; thanks to its globally accessible and convenient&#13;<br \/>\ntransport network, large-scale world-class venues, facilities and professional&#13;<br \/>\nservices. We look forward to gathering again in Hong Kong and navigating the&#13;<br \/>\nfuture of TCM development together.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With its unrivalled fundamentals, Hong&#13;<br \/>\nKong is the core international city in the Greater Bay Area, a super-connector&#13;<br \/>\nin the Belt and Road Initiative, and the ideal platform to promote TCM on the&#13;<br \/>\nglobal stage.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>HKTB Executive Director Mr Dane Cheng&#13;<br \/>\nsaid, &#8220;Hong Kong enjoys unique geographical and cultural advantages, and is the&#13;<br \/>\nideal destination for international conventions. Many such events have taken&#13;<br \/>\nplace recently, demonstrating Hong Kong&#8217;s ability to host large-scale global&#13;<br \/>\nevents safely and efficiently. Apart from TCM, Hong Kong will continue to&#13;<br \/>\nleverage the city&#8217;s advantages as an East-meets-West showcase to promote the&#13;<br \/>\nvery best of Chinese heritage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The congress&#13;<br \/>\nreceived extensive support from government and industry bodies. The National&#13;<br \/>\nAdministration of TCM and the Hong Kong Food and Health Bureau acted as&#13;<br \/>\nadvisors, and it was organised by the WFCMS, along with the Hong Kong&#13;<br \/>\nRegistered Chinese Medicine Practitioners Association and the WFCM (Hong Kong)&#13;<br \/>\nCouncil Members Association as local hosts. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Hong Kong \u2013 A&#13;<br \/>\nWorld-Class Medical Convention Hub <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong is a cultural melting pot,&#13;<br \/>\nbringing together the best that the world has to offer, demonstrating the true&#13;<br \/>\ndefinition of &#8216;East meets West&#8217;, even in the field of medicine.
