Glyph Community joins Amazon Singapore’s
\ngrowing list of nonprofits as part of the <\/i>Amazon X Shop for Good wishlist initiative<\/i><\/a> <\/i>\u2013 a campaign that helps
\nnonprofits meet their exact needs<\/i><\/p>\n

To deliver smiles and support to
\nunderprivileged children in Singapore, Amazon Singapore will match customer
\ndonations made via Glyph Community’s wishlist, donating up to SGD10,000 in cash<\/i><\/p>\n

SINGAPORE –\u00a0Media OutReach<\/a>\u00a0–\u00a01 December
\n2021 – (NASDAQ: AMZN) – This holiday season, Amazon
\nSingapore<\/a> (“Amazon”) is expanding its Delivering Smiles wishlist initiative to
\nsupport a total of 16 local nonprofit organisations (NPOs) in Singapore and
\nhelp them get the items they need. This includes matching customer donations of
\nup to SGD10,000, made between 1 and 31 December 2021, to the wishlist of Glyph
\nCommunity to help underprivileged children in Singapore. <\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The latest
\nlocal charity to join the Amazon X Shop for Good wishlist initiative<\/a>, Glyph Community helps underprivileged children develop through
\nactivities such as field trips, arts and crafts classes, and creates
\nopportunities for them to apply learnings from the classroom. <\/p>\n

Delivering smiles with customers through the
\nholiday season<\/b><\/p>\n

Amazon’s
\nwishlist initiative, started locally in 2020, makes giving and doing good
\nhassle-free for customers. As customers shop on Amazon for their holiday plans
\nand celebrations, they can simply click to purchase items via the wishlist of
\nNPOs to support causes they are most passionate about. <\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Each NPO’s
\nwishlist is a depository of items their beneficiaries need the most in
\nreal-time and is updated regularly by the organisation. As such, through the
\nwishlist, consumers can see the exact items and quantities the NPO needs,
\npurchase them as if shopping for themselves, and have the donations delivered
\ndirectly to the NPO’s preferred location. While donating via the NPO’s
\nwishlist, customers can enjoy the same low prices and convenient shopping
\nexperience they have come to expect from Amazon. <\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

As of today,
\n16 local NPOs are part of the Amazon x Shop for Good wishlist<\/a> initiative<\/u>: Arc
\nChildren’s Centre, Beyond Social Services, Blessings in a Bag, Children’s
\nWishing Well, Club Rainbow (Singapore), Engineering Good, Fei Yue, Glyph
\nCommunity, New Hope Community Services, Singapore Red Cross, SHINE, Singapore
\nChildren’s Society, The Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf), SOSD, The
\nFood Bank Singapore, and Willing Hearts. <\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Between June 2020 and November 2021,
\nparticipating NPOs received over 3,640 items through the wishlist initiative \u2013 including
\nnecessities such as milk formula, oscillation fans, air purifiers, canned food \u2013
\namounting to over SGD$19,600 in value. These donations have helped more than 6,000
\nbeneficiaries across Singapore. <\/p>\n

Customers can
\njoin Amazon in its season of giving by shopping for an NPO’s wishlist via amazon.sg\/shopforgood<\/a><\/p>\n

“Our wishlist initiative has grown extensively in the past two years
\nto support 16 local nonprofit organisations across causes \u2013 from helping
\nunderprivileged children, low-income families, the elderly to animals in
\nSingapore. I’m humbled to welcome Glyph Community as part of the initiative and
\nlook forward to collaborating with more local nonprofits to support
\nSingaporeans from all walks of life. Through the holiday season and beyond, we
\nhope this initiative continues to serve as a transparent and fuss-free way for

\ndogs. Its mission is to eliminate cruelty to and abandonment of animals,
\nenhancing their welfare, and improving the lives of animals and humans, through
\nrescue, education and advocacy. <\/p>\n

The Food Bank Singapore <\/b><\/p>\n

The Food Bank
\nSingapore is a registered charity founded in 2012, with the mission to end food
\ninsecurity in Singapore through redistribution of food to more than 360-member
\nbeneficiary organisations. The public can deposit\/donate their unused or
\nunwanted foods which will then be collected and allocated to the needy via
\nvarious channels through VWOs, Charities, Soup Kitchens.<\/p>\n

Willing Hearts<\/b><\/p>\n

A secular,
\nnon-affiliated charity, Willing Hearts is wholly run by volunteers, apart from
\na handful of staff. It operates a soup kitchen that prepares, cooks and
\ndistributes about 10,000 daily meals to over 70 locations island wide, 365 days
\na year. Beneficiaries include the elderly, the disabled, low income families,
\nchildren from single parent families or otherwise poverty stricken families,
\nand migrant workers in Singapore.<\/p>\n
