SINGAPORE –\u00a0Media OutReach<\/a>\u00a0–\u00a01 December 2021 –\u00a0Rhenus Logistics, a leading
\nglobal logistics service provider, will neutralize the carbon emissions of all of
\nits less-than-container-load (LCL) products by 2030. Starting from 2022, cargo
\nshipped with the Rhenus Consolidation Box out of Hilden Gateway will be carbon
\nneutral, with no additional costs to customers. The service will progressively
\nroll out through all gateways in which Rhenus operates worldwide. <\/p>\n

\ndecisions. Sustainability is a priority in the company’s business. That is why Rhenus
\nwould like to transform the existing services into environmentally friendly
\noptions to shape a better future for customers and partners. <\/p>\n

With green thinking
\nfirmly established throughout the Rhenus operations, the carbon-neutral LCL
\nproduct marks a new milestone in its sustainability strategy. Rhenus Logistics launched
\nthe world’s first CO2<\/sub> reduction program for airfreight, RHEGREEN, in
\n2019. Since 2015, Rhenus has undergone an annual assessment by, and received
\nthe Silver Status for several years from EcoVadis, an independent agency that evaluates
\ncorporate social responsibility-related activities in accordance with
\ninternational standards. On-going green logistics efforts worldwide include a seven-year
\ncontinuous annual tree-planting activity in India, climate-neutral
\nwarehouse locations with green infrastructure like renewable energy and LED lighting
\nas well as electric mobility and recyclable packaging in Asia and Europe, energy
\nmanagement system implementation across Germany and the Netherlands and a Rhenus
\nLogistics Corporate Forest to support agroforestry projects. Rhenus continues
\nto explore green ideas and new technologies, in collaboration with research
\ninstitutions, partners and customers, to make the global supply chain more
\nsustainable.<\/p>\n
