Nestl\u00e9&#13;<br \/>\nHong Kong launched the first Nestl\u00e9 for Healthier Kids Programme (&#8220;Programme&#8221;)&#13;<br \/>\nin 2017-2020, which aims to support children to establish healthy dietary&#13;<br \/>\nhabits and lifestyle. The survey results from the first &#8220;Programme&#8221; showed the&#13;<br \/>\nlack of sufficient exercise for students in Hong Kong. Therefore, Nestl\u00e9 Hong&#13;<br \/>\nKong partnered with Hong Kong Rope Skipping Club to promote rope skipping as&#13;<br \/>\nthe first activity for the second Nestl\u00e9 for Healthier Kids Programme&#13;<br \/>\n(2021-2024), inviting all children aged between 6-12 years old to participate&#13;<br \/>\nin the rope skipping challenge and exercise more. <\/p>\n<p class=\"PRbasicCxSpLast\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img src=\"https:\/\/images.media-outreach.com\/Thumb\/500x0\/197254\/NestleHK-Image2.jpg#image-197254\" width=\"500\"\/><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center\"><i>The above photos show the&#13;<br \/>\nfirst two rope skipping school tours, in which participating students were&#13;<br \/>\nactive and excited.<\/i><\/h5>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img src=\"https:\/\/images.media-outreach.com\/Thumb\/500x0\/197261\/NestleHK-image1.jpg#image-197261\" width=\"500\"\/><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center\"><i>The online challenge will&#13;<br \/>\nbe held from 5 November to 30 November 2021. All children aged 6-12 are invited&#13;<br \/>\nto watch and learn from the online videos and participate in the challenge to&#13;<br \/>\nwin a small prize.<\/i><\/h5>\n<p class=\"PRbasic\">At&#13;<br \/>\nthe same time, the number of schools participating in the school-based&#13;<br \/>\nnutrition and health promotional activities of the second &#8220;Programme&#8221; increased&#13;<br \/>\nto 10 primary schools, with a total of about 800 students participating.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Uplifting&#13;<br \/>\nChildren&#8217;s Interest in Exercise by Experiencing Rope Skipping<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>According to the survey&#13;<br \/>\nresults from the first &#8220;Programme&#8221;, students did not exercise much during the&#13;<br \/>\npandemic. As a result, the proportion of students who could reach the amount of&#13;<br \/>\nexercise recommended by the World Health Organization<sup>[1]<\/sup>&#13;<br \/>\ndropped to 10% only last year, for which the situation needs to be improved.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In view of this, the first&#13;<br \/>\nactivity of the second &#8220;Programme&#8221; is to support the Hong Kong Rope Skipping&#13;<br \/>\nClub to organize a Fun Fun Campus Rope Skipping Programme, which aims to encourage&#13;<br \/>\nstudents to utilize simple equipment to maintain moderate amount of exercise in&#13;<br \/>\ntheir daily life even during the pandemic while focusing on their studies and developing&#13;<br \/>\na balanced diet.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Fun Fun Campus Rope Skipping&#13;<br \/>\nProgramme is consisted of two parts: school tours and online challenges. For&#13;<br \/>\nthe school tours, 10 campus visits to different primary schools will be arranged&#13;<br \/>\nduring November and December this year, in which the program includes&#13;<br \/>\ndemonstration of rope skipping and guided experience for students to learn and&#13;<br \/>\nunderstand the fun of rope skipping. The visits aim to foster students&#8217; better&#13;<br \/>\nunderstanding of the fun and benefits of sports, thus further enhance their interest&#13;<br \/>\nin exercising.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For the online challenges,&#13;<br \/>\nthere are three videos posted on the Hong Kong Rope Skipping Club&#8217;s Facebook&#13;<br \/>\nFans Page, inviting all students to watch and learn some basic and fancy rope&#13;<br \/>\nskipping techniques from world-class athletes, then participate in the&#13;<br \/>\nchallenges and win a small prize. The activity has been launched on 5 November,&#13;<br \/>\nanyone aged between 6-12 years old can take part in the challenges to exercise more&#13;<br \/>\nand build a healthier lifestyle. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b><u>The Second Nestl\u00e9 for&#13;<br \/>\nHealthier Kids School-based Programme aims to Build a Healthy Eating and Lifestyle&#13;<br \/>\nfor all Children with a Wide Variety of Activities<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the above, the&#13;<br \/>\nthree-year school-based promotional activities of the second &#8220;Nestl\u00e9 for&#13;<br \/>\nHealthier Kids Programme&#8221; have officially been launched since this September.&#13;<br \/>\nNestl\u00e9 Hong Kong will continue to join hands with the Centre for Health&#13;<br \/>\nEducation and Health Promotion of the Chinese University of Hong Kong to arrange&#13;<br \/>\nvarious nutrition and health education activities for children, parents and&#13;<br \/>\nteachers of participating schools, conduct health survey and carry out fitness&#13;<br \/>\ntest for children. The Center will also obtain a baseline of the &#8220;Programme&#8221; by&#13;<br \/>\nunderstanding the children&#8217;s diet, exercise, static activities, sleep time,&#13;<br \/>\nquality of life, and fitness tests, etc., and follow up on the effectiveness of&#13;<br \/>\nthe &#8220;Programme&#8221; later on. The number of schools participating in this &#8220;Programme&#8221;&#13;<br \/>\nincreased from 6 to 10 primary schools, with the number of students&#13;<br \/>\nparticipating increased from 500 to 800 in total.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. May Chung, General&#13;<br \/>\nManager of Nestl\u00e9 Hong Kong Limited, said, &#8220;Nestl\u00e9 Hong Kong is committed&#13;<br \/>\nto creating shared value for the society.
