These rectifiers include an embedded automatic transfer switch (ATS)&#13;<br \/>\ncapability that switches input to a secondary AC source on detection of primary&#13;<br \/>\nAC power loss without any interruption to output voltage.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Minimizing power consumption and driving down costs are key&#13;<br \/>\nchallenges for data center operators as they look to meet the increased power&#13;<br \/>\ndemands of the latest high-performance processors,&#8221; said Harry Soin, senior&#13;<br \/>\ndirector of technical marketing for hyperscale data centers at Advanced Energy.&#13;<br \/>\n&#8220;Evolving rack power from 12 V to 48 V architectures reduces conduction losses&#13;<br \/>\nby a factor of 16, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opencompute.org\/\">open&#13;<br \/>\nsystems<\/a> compliance ensures interoperability and reduced total system&#13;<br \/>\ncosts. Advanced Energy&#8217;s Open Rack power shelf and rectifiers directly address&#13;<br \/>\nthese requirements while adding ATS technology to ensure optimal availability.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Advanced Energy&#8217;s ORv3 30 kW power shelf is compatible with&#13;<br \/>\nstar, delta and single-phase input configurations and includes a hot-pluggable,&#13;<br \/>\nDMTF Redfish<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>-compatible Shelf Controller for simple, secure&#13;<br \/>\nmonitoring and control over Ethernet.
