Case No.10 dated 12.03.2012 U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(d)\/7 Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 for demand and acceptance of illegal gratification of Rs.10,000\/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) from a complainant to dispose of the case registered against his relative and others.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today i.e. on 30.10.2021, the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada convicted Sri Panda and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(d) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and rigorous imprisonment for a period of 1 year U\/s 7 Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The Hon\u2019ble Court further sentenced him to pay fine of Rs.5,000\/-(Rupees Five Thousand) on each count, and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 months on each count. Both the sentences are to run concurrently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sri Saroj Kumar Samal, the then Inspector, Vigilance, Balasore Division, A\/p-DSP Vigilance, Cell Division, Cuttack had investigated the case and Sri S.K. Ray, In-charge Spl.
