\nevent of the Cyberport Venture Capital
\nForum<\/b><\/a> (CVCF) – will be staged online on 1 November
\n(Monday). It will meanwhile kick off the sixth Hong Kong FinTech
\nWeek<\/a>. Themed “Innovation in FinTech
\nProof-of-Concept for the Hong Kong Financial Services Industry”, the full-day
\nonline conference will bring together an impressive line-up of more than 30
\nheavyweight speakers from professional bodies, renowned financial institutions,
\nregulators and Cyberport start-ups. Together they will decipher the latest
\ntrends and opportunities in technology applications that have arisen in all
\nareas of financial services \u2013 from RegTech, InsurTech and environmental, social
\nand governance (ESG) to cross-border finance in the Greater Bay Area \u2013 and many
\ninnovative cases will be shared. Christopher Hui, Secretary for Financial
\nServices and the Treasury, <\/b>will deliver the Conference’s opening remarks.<\/p>\n

\nCyberport is wholly dedicated to supporting start-ups’ growth and facilitating
\nthe financial industry’s digital transformation. Earlier this year, Cyberport
\nwas commissioned by the Financial Services and the Treasury to launch the Fintech
\nProof-of-Concept Subsidy Scheme (“PoC” Scheme) in order to boost industry
\ninnovation. Over 90 partnerships between financial institutions and FinTech companies
\nwere formed. <\/p>\n
\nCyberport, says, <\/b>“The ‘PoC’ Scheme has
\nsparked good chemistry between participating financial institutions and FinTech
\ncompanies, including start-ups. Not only did many of the PoC proposals come up
\nwith unique ideas, they also accommodated needs emerging from financial
\ninstitutions’ operations and market expansion. At Cyberport FinTech InnoCon
\n2021, these successful cases will be shared with the industry and will
\nundoubtedly inspire further financial innovations. As a spotlight event of the
\nCyberport Venture Capital Forum, we also hope that the Conference will promote
\ncooperation between financial institutions and start-ups and encourage
\nfinancial institutions to support start-ups’ long-term development in the form
