\nthe unprecedented mass migration of organizations’ IT infrastructure to cloud
\nand digital systems in the past year has compressed years of planned digital
\ntransformation into a matter of months \u2013 or even weeks. <\/p>\n
\nnetworks and applications to organizations’ IT ecosystems within a short period
\nof time has increased businesses’ vulnerability to threat actors, who now have
\nmore avenues to exploit. <\/p>\n
\nwhich emphasises a “never trust, always verify” approach through continuous assessment
\nof user access privileges for individual resources \u2013 has thus become crucial,
\nespecially with greater adoption of cloud-based technologies.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
\nSecurity today, and in a post-pandemic world where hybrid working becomes a
\nnorm, leading independent identity provider Okta<\/a> surveyed 400 security leaders in Asia
\nPacific, as part of a study \u2013 The State of Zero Trust Security in Asia Pacific
\n2021.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/b>Notably, APAC organizations prioritise Zero Trust
\nSecurity the most \u2013 COVID-19 has accelerated Zero Trust Security as a priority
\nin 77% of APAC organizations \u2013\u00a0 higher
\nthan EMEA (76%), and North America (74%).
<\/b>Despite the emphasis on Zero Trust Security, at the time of the survey APAC
\norganizations were clearly lagging their counterparts in EMEA and North America
\n\u2013 only 13% had already implemented a Zero Trust Security strategy, compared to
\n20% of organizations each in EMEA and North America. <\/b><\/p>\n

\nacross Asia Pacific have practiced hybrid working arrangements for the past
\nyear and a half. Today, most business leaders recognise the value of such
\narrangements in driving long term business growth post pandemic, and are
\ncommitted to sustaining them,” said Graham Sowden, General Manager, Asia
\nPacific, Okta.<\/p>\n
\nthey continue to be vigilant in anticipating new threats that emerge in this
\nnew digital landscape, by continually assessing their current IT
\ninfrastructure, and making strategic investments to stay ahead of threat

\norganizations’ identity-driven security practices on everything from the type
\nof resources they manage, to how they provision and deprovision users.<\/p>\n
