Minh Tien Group<\/a> to introduce the implementation of the Circular Economy Model
\nin Viet Nam, in order to inspire the idea of developing sustainable
\nagriculture, preventing climate change, and reducing waste – especially plastic
\ndebris. The circular economic principles implemented by Minh Tien are regarded
\nas “breakthrough” developments of the Vietnamese coffee industry which would
\nraise a number of opportunities for properly appreciating the full value of a
\ncoffee tree.<\/p>\nIn his opening remarks, Ambassador Nguyen Trung Kien
\nstressed that: “Despite impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Viet Nam and Austria
\nmaintain\u00a0and strengthen their friendly relationship. Viet Nam wishes to
\nreceive the support from Austria, especially in the context where both states
\nare looking forward to the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic
\nrelations\u00a0in 2022.”<\/p>\n

\nwill continue to cooperate with Viet Nam towards the 50th anniversary of
\ndiplomatic relations\u00a0between the two countries,”\u00a0Ambassador Enno
\nDrofenik of the Austria Foreign Ministry said.<\/p>\n

“Viet Nam should be considered as a successful state in
\napplying nuclear technology for peaceful purposes and responding to global
\nissues in agriculture, environment or healthcare. Viet Nam has been
\ncollaborating with the IAEA in projects for controlling plastic
\ndebris,”\u00a0Dr. Najat Mokhtar, Deputy Director-General of the IAEA, said.<\/p>\n
Within the Ceremony’s framework, Minh Tien Group proudly
\npresented and exchanged views with international participants on its Circular
\nEconomy Model derived from Viet Nam’s coffee tree. Such a story would bring a
\ndifferent and fresh viewpoint on modern and sustainable agriculture in Viet
\nNam.<\/p>\n
Minh Tien Group’s representative said: “For Minh Tien, the
\nCircular Economy Model is a breakthrough solution. In the future, we aim to put
\nour resources into research and development toward innovative technology. That
\nwould diversify our environmentally-friendly products with practical value when
\nplaced in everyday lives.”<\/p>\n
Viet Nam and Austria established diplomatic relations in
\n1972 and the two states have always maintained cooperation in various fields, especially
\nin trade and investment, science and technology, and capacity building.
\nAdditionally, they cooperate and mutually support at international forums and
\norganisations.<\/p>\n
Viet Nam is a member state of international organisations
\nand always actively contributes to international forums in Vienna. In September
\n2021, IAEA’s member states consented to elect\u00a0Viet Nam to the Agency’s
\nBoard of Governors, for the 2021 – 2023 term. As reported, Viet Nam was a
\nmember of the Board for several terms and was the President of this body from
\n2013 to 2014.\u00a0<\/p>\n
