This annual competition confronts participating teams with global&#13;<br \/>\nbusiness problems, based on real challenges facing real businesses\/sectors. The&#13;<br \/>\ncompetition asks teams of students from diverse educational and ethnic&#13;<br \/>\nbackgrounds to work together in order to maximize their chances of winning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img src=\"https:\/\/images.media-outreach.com\/Thumb\/500x0\/184891\/VGCC-1.jpg#image-184891\" width=\"500\"\/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b><i>VGCC&#13;<br \/>\n1: Prof. Rohit Verma, Provost of VinUniversity and Mr. Michael Lohscheller, CEO&#13;<br \/>\nof VinFast Global shared with students during the webinar introducing the&#13;<br \/>\ncompetition. The Organizing Committee is currently receiving registration&#13;<br \/>\nbefore 11:59 am (GMT + 7) on October 17, 2021.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>According to plan, each year VGCC will collaborate&#13;<br \/>\nwith a business to come up with a realistic case study. The theme of VGCC 2021&#13;<br \/>\nis &#8220;VinFast \u2013 Go Global&#8221;: How can VinFast \u2013 a young Vietnamese business \u2013 lead&#13;<br \/>\nthe &#8220;green&#8221; movement and establish a permanent presence in the US market with&#13;<br \/>\nits electric vehicle models. The competition&#8217;s methodology and case were&#13;<br \/>\ndesigned with the consultation of Cornell University, a world-class Ivy League&#13;<br \/>\ninstitution.<\/p>\n<p>Just 8 weeks after its inauguration, the competition&#13;<br \/>\nreceived approximately 2.000 applications from Vietnam and other world-leading&#13;<br \/>\nuniversities around the world, such as the University of Oxford (UK), Duke&#13;<br \/>\nUniversity (USA), Nanyang Technology University (Singapore), Warwick University&#13;<br \/>\n(UK), among many others.<\/p>\n<p>The electric vehicle industry has gained increasing&#13;<br \/>\nattention around the world. &#8220;We see that around the world, climate change is&#13;<br \/>\nobviously one of a key topics and sector in term of automobile is supporting&#13;<br \/>\nthis change. Therefore, electric vehicles play a key role.&#8221; &#8211;\u00a0 shared Mr. Michael Lohscheller, CEO of&#13;<br \/>\nVinFast Global in the conference introducing the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, electric vehicles will open up&#13;<br \/>\nopportunities for the development of a myriad of other supporting industries&#13;<br \/>\nand technology, such as Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, which&#13;<br \/>\nwould improve living standards and customer experience.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest appeal of this year&#8217;s theme is the&#13;<br \/>\ninspirational story of VinFast, with its pioneering and &#8220;borderless&#8221; approach.&#13;<br \/>\n&#8220;VGCC is a bold and outstanding move from a Vietnamese university and an&#13;<br \/>\nambitious Vietnamese enterprise. VinFast, with its &#8220;Make in Vietnam&#8221;&#13;<br \/>\nbrand, brings the desire to lead and promote the global &#8216;green&#8217; revolution.&#13;<br \/>\nVinUni, a fledgling university, has pioneered in its call for global students&#13;<br \/>\nto participate in solving the question of expansion into the US market, one of&#13;<br \/>\nthe most fiercely competitive markets in the world. Unprecedented stories tend&#13;<br \/>\nto have a great appeal and arouse participating teams&#8217; desires to conquer&#8221;,&#13;<br \/>\nshared Prof. Rohit Verma, Provost of VinUniversity.<\/p>\n<p>Through VGCC, students from various disciplines, such&#13;<br \/>\nas business administration, engineering, or computer science, have to join&#13;<br \/>\nforces and put their knowledge into practice. Students will be trained in&#13;<br \/>\nteamwork, research, analytical skills, in addition to problem-solving and&#13;<br \/>\nleadership skills. Such &#8220;real learning \u2013 real practice&#8221; activities&#13;<br \/>\ncontribute to the attraction of VGCC and demonstrate VinUni&#8217;s educational&#13;<br \/>\nphilosophy, preparing students for the real world post-graduation.<\/p>\n<p>VGCC is held virtually from October 4th to November&#13;<br \/>\n14th, 2021 with a total prize value of nearly 400 million VND (equivalent to&#13;<br \/>\n17,000 USD), including the First Prize worth more than 200 million VND (10,000&#13;<br \/>\nUSD). Each participating team consists of 3-4 members, who can come from&#13;<br \/>\ndifferent universities or countries. Team registration must be completed on the&#13;<br \/>\nprogram&#8217;s official website <a href=\"https:\/\/vinuni-globalcase.com\/\">https:\/\/vinuni-globalcase.com\/<\/a> before 11:59 AM&#13;<br \/>\n(GMT+7) on October 17th, 2021. The top 10 teams will be selected to move on to&#13;<br \/>\nthe final round, which is scheduled to take place in November 2021.
