{"id":17787,"date":"2021-09-28T14:18:14","date_gmt":"2021-09-28T14:18:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/?p=17787"},"modified":"2021-09-28T14:18:14","modified_gmt":"2021-09-28T14:18:14","slug":"agriculture-district-officer-bolangir-arrested-by-vigilance-while-accepting-rs-7000-bribe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/2021\/09\/28\/agriculture-district-officer-bolangir-arrested-by-vigilance-while-accepting-rs-7000-bribe\/","title":{"rendered":"AGRICULTURE DISTRICT OFFICER, BOLANGIR ARRESTED\u00a0BY VIGILANCE WHILE ACCEPTING RS.7,000\/- BRIBE.\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cuttack, 28\/9\/2021 ( Odisha Samachar)- Today i.e. on 28.09.2021, Sri Himansu Sekhar Padhi, Agriculture District Officer, Bolangir has been <strong>apprehended <\/strong>by the officers of Vigilance, Sambalpur Division <strong>for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of <\/strong><strong>Rs.7,000\/- (Rupees Seven Thousand)<\/strong> from a complainant for issue of point of sale (POS) machine for his fertilizer shop.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 28.09.2021 wherein the accused Sri Himansu Sekhar Padhi, Agriculture District Officer was caught by the officers of Vigilance, Sambalpur Division in his office chamber while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.7,000\/- (Rupees Seven Thousand) from complainant. The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Padhi and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash as well as pant pocket wash of Sri Padhi gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. Following the trap, <strong>simultaneous searches have been launched<\/strong> on the residential rented house and office chamber of Sri Padhi at Bolangir and his residential house at Siripur, Bhubaneswar. He<strong> has been arrested <\/strong>and is being forwarded to the\u00a0Court<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance P.S.
