Case No.22 dated 24.04.2012 U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(d)\/7 Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 for demand and acceptance of illegal gratification of Rs.4,000\/- (Rupees Four Thousand) from a complainant for preparation and release of his arrear pay bill.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today i.e. on 28.09.2021, the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada convicted Sri Mohanty, Jr. Clerk and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 1 year and to pay fine of Rs.5,000\/- (Rupees Five Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 months for the offence U\/s 7 P.C. Act, 1988. The Hon\u2019ble Court further sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000\/-(Rupees Five Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 months for the offence U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Both the sentences are to run concurrently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sri Saroj Kumar Samal, the then Inspector of Vigilance, Baripada Unit under Balasore Division, A\/p-DSP, Vigilance Cell Division, Cuttack had investigated the case and Sri S.K. Ray, I\/c Spl.
