{"id":17379,"date":"2021-09-07T14:31:26","date_gmt":"2021-09-07T14:31:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/?p=17379"},"modified":"2021-09-07T14:31:26","modified_gmt":"2021-09-07T14:31:26","slug":"ex-senior-clerk-retired-collectorate-malkangiri-convicted-in-vigilance-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/2021\/09\/07\/ex-senior-clerk-retired-collectorate-malkangiri-convicted-in-vigilance-case\/","title":{"rendered":"EX-SENIOR CLERK (RETIRED), COLLECTORATE, MALKANGIRI CONVICTED IN VIGILANCE CASE."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cuttack,7\/9\/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- Sri Sibaram Raj, Ex-Senior Clerk (Retired), Revenue Section, Collectorate, Malkangiri was facing trial in the Court of Hon\u2019ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore in Berhampur Vigilance PS case No.48 dt.29.12.1999 U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(c)(d)(i)(ii) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988\/409\/468\/471\/477-A\/ 120-B IPC, as regards misappropriation of Govt. money of <strong>Rs.1,10,000\/-<\/strong> in connection with engagement of a hired Jeep for official purpose.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today i.e. on 07.09.2021, the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore convicted Sri Sibaram Raj and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000\/- (Rupees Five Thousand) on each count U\/s 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988\/409\/468\/471\/477-A IPC, and in default of payment of fine, to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a further period of 3 months for each count of default. Both the sentences are to run concurrently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sri Shankarsan Barik, Ex-Inspector (retired), Vigilance had investigated the case and Sri M. Balaji Rao, Spl.
