The survey also found that high growth businesses are much more&#13;<br \/>\nlikely to use these technologies than other businesses.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Further, 96 per cent of surveyed respondents&#13;<br \/>\nreported that their employers undertook at least one technology-related project&#13;<br \/>\nin the past 12 months, the highest among all surveyed markets.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>CPA Australia surveyed 725&#13;<br \/>\nprofessionals in different industries from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau,&#13;<br \/>\nSingapore, Malaysia and Australia. The survey results&#13;<br \/>\nare included in CPA Australia&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.intelligencebank.com\/au\/share\/4BKE\/7K2b\/EXy06\/original\/Business+Technology+Survey+Report+2021\">Businesses Technology Report 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s very positive to see that Mainland&#13;<br \/>\nChinese businesses are leading usage in almost all these technologies,&#8221; said&#13;<br \/>\nTony Chan, Deputy President of CPA Australia&#8217;s South China Committee, &#8220;We are glad to see Mainland&#13;<br \/>\nChinese businesses have undertaken various technology-related projects. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There is a connection between&#13;<br \/>\ntechnology usage and business performance. Their strong focus on&#13;<br \/>\ndigitalisation and innovation will enable Mainland Chinese&#13;<br \/>\nbusinesses to not only keep pace with new technology trends, but also to lead&#13;<br \/>\nthem,&#8221; Chan said.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With Mainland China&#8217;s 14th Five-Year Plan&#13;<br \/>\nidentifying innovation and technology as a core national priority, combined&#13;<br \/>\nwith favourable policies announced by the central and local governments as well&#13;<br \/>\nas the rapid deployment of 5G technology, we are confident this positive trend will continue,&#8221; Chan said.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Ninety-one per cent of Mainland Chinese respondents expect their&#13;<br \/>\nemployers to increase investment in or use of various technologies in the&#13;<br \/>\ncoming 12 months. Data analytics and visualisation software, cloud technology,&#13;<br \/>\nBI software and AI are the technologies that Mainland Chinese businesses will&#13;<br \/>\nmost likely increase investment in or use of in the next 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Although strong technology adoption has&#13;<br \/>\nbrought many benefits, it&#8217;s not without its challenges. According to the survey,&#13;<br \/>\nrespondents from Mainland China were the most likely of the markets surveyed to&#13;<br \/>\nidentify cybersecurity concerns as a key barrier to business technology&#13;<br \/>\nadoption.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The survey findings show that&#13;<br \/>\nMainland Chinese companies are more likely to adopt and invest in advanced&#13;<br \/>\ntechnologies such as AI and BI software that rely heavily on data. It&#8217;s therefore&#13;<br \/>\nnot surprising that 41 per cent of Mainland Chinese respondents nominated&#13;<br \/>\ncybersecurity concerns as a major challenge to business technology adoption,&#8221;&#13;<br \/>\nsaid Wilson Feng, Member of CPA Australia&#8217;s East and Central China Committee.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The data reveals that Mainland Chinese&#13;<br \/>\nbusinesses are taking action to meet this challenge. Forty-seven per cent of&#13;<br \/>\nsurveyed respondents from Mainland China reported that their employers had&#13;<br \/>\nincreased investment in cybersecurity software in the past 12 months.&#13;<br \/>\nTwenty-eight per cent expect their employers to increase investment in&#13;<br \/>\ncybersecurity software in the next 12 months,&#8221; Feng said.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is essential that digital transformation and risks mitigation go&#13;<br \/>\nhand in hand.
