Case No.67 dated 03.11.2009 U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(d)\/7 Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 for demand and acceptance of illegal gratification of Rs.2,000\/- (Rupees Two Thousand) from a complainant for delivery of lease sale deed of the land allotted to him by the Industrial Development Corporation, Rourkela.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 23.08.2021, the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh convicted Sri Behera, Ex-Junior Clerk and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 1 year and to pay fine of Rs.5,000\/- (Rupees Five Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 months for the offence U\/s 7\u00a0 Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The Hon\u2019ble Court further sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000\/-(Rupees Five Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 months for the offence U\/s 13(1)(d) punishable U\/s 13(2) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Both the sentences are to run concurrently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Smt. Kadambini Samal, Ex-Inspector of Vigilance, Rourkela Unit, A\/p-DSP Vigilance, Rourkela Division had investigated the case and Sri Dharmesh Kumar Patel, Spl.
