We believe these strategic investments will allow us&#13;<br \/>\nto build a greater platform for Razer to achieve&#13;<br \/>\nlong-term growth ambitions and deliver outstanding value to shareholders.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Key highlights for 1H 2021 earnings<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p><u>COMPANY<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Record-high Revenue of US$752.0 million with 68.0% year-on-year&#13;<br \/>\ngrowth<\/b>&#13;<br \/>\ndriven by robust demand, market share leadership for the Hardware business, and&#13;<br \/>\nongoing growth in the Services segment.<\/li>\n<li><b>Gross Profit Margin improved to 27.1%<\/b>, as compared&#13;<br \/>\nwith 22.0% for the same period in 2020, primarily due to improving margins in&#13;<br \/>\nthe Hardware segment.<\/li>\n<li><b>Adjusted EBITDA<a name=\"_ftnref1\" title=\"\">*<\/a> (a non-GAAP measure) of US$59.5 million,<\/b> soaring by&#13;<br \/>\n1,759.4% year-on-year growth from US$3.2 million for the same period in 2020.<\/li>\n<li><b>Net Profit of US$31.3 million,<\/b> as compared with a Net Loss of&#13;<br \/>\nUS$17.7 million for the same period in 2020, driven by exceptional revenue&#13;<br \/>\ngrowth, continued gross margin expansion, and productivity improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\"><b><u>CORE SEGMENTS<\/u><\/b><b> <u\/><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><b>HARDWARE: <\/b><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Revenue grew 77.0% year-on-year to US$677.3 million.<\/li>\n<li>Peripherals business has maintained its market leading position for&#13;<br \/>\ngaming peripherals across the U.S., Europe, and Asia-Pacific[1]<\/li>\n<li>Systems business has maintained its market leading position in the&#13;<br \/>\npremium gaming laptop segment in the U.S. while growing market share in new&#13;<br \/>\nmarkets outside of the U.S.[2] .<\/li>\n<li>New gaming growth categories have continued to&#13;<br \/>\ngain market share such as broadcast and gaming chairs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i style=\"font-size: 1rem\">\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><b>SOFTWARE: <\/b><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Total user accounts increased 50.0% year-on-year to approximately 150.0&#13;<br \/>\nmillion with monthly active users surging by over 51.4%.<\/li>\n<li>The increase was attributable to strong growth across all Software&#13;<br \/>\nofferings, boosted by increases in gaming, esports, and livestreaming&#13;<br \/>\nactivities. <\/li>\n<li>Razer continued its efforts to further enrich user experience and drive&#13;<br \/>\nstickiness to the Razer ecosystem:<br \/>o\u00a0\u00a0 During 1H 2021, Razer&#13;<br \/>\nCortex PC Squad Rewards Seasons 6 and 7 continued to drive high engagement with&#13;<br \/>\nover 200,000 gamers joining the competition each season. Players logged in a&#13;<br \/>\ntotal of over 3.5 million hours of PC game time each season.<br \/>o\u00a0\u00a0 Razer Chroma<sup>TM<\/sup>&#13;<br \/>\nRGB continued to reinforce its partner-of-choice position, working with leading&#13;<br \/>\nhardware partners through its connected devices programme. As of June 30, 2021, over 180 games and&#13;<br \/>\napplications are natively integrated with Razer Chroma<sup>TM<\/sup>&#13;<br \/>\nRGB Software Development Kit (SDK).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><b>SERVICES: <\/b><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Services business, comprising of Razer Gold and Razer Fintech, grew 13.8%&#13;<br \/>\nyear-on-year to US$72.8 million for 1H 2021. <\/li>\n<li>Gross margin was 41.9% and contributed 15.0% of the Group&#8217;s gross profit&#13;<br \/>\nin 1H 2021. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><b>RAZER GOLD<\/b><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recorded a 13.8% year-on-year&#13;<br \/>\nincrease in total payment volume (&#8220;TPV&#8221;), driven primarily by the increase in&#13;<br \/>\nthe number of transactions conducted through the Razer Gold platform.<\/li>\n<li>As of June 30,&#13;<br \/>\n2021, Razer Gold recorded approximately 30 million registered users, representing&#13;<br \/>\n25.3% growth year-on-year.\u00a0 <\/li>\n<li>Further expanded its footprint and added more channel touchpoints in&#13;<br \/>\nplaces such as Southeast Asia and Latin America covering users from more than&#13;<br \/>\n130 countries and more than 5.6 million channel touchpoints.<\/li>\n<li>Reinforced its position to be a partner of choice for content partners&#13;<br \/>\nwith over 42,000 digital entertainment titles supported and added popular new&#13;<br \/>\ngames.<\/li>\n<li>Put in place longer-term initiatives that will well-position Razer Gold&#13;<br \/>\nfor the next level of growth, such as:<br \/>o\u00a0\u00a0 Further increasing Razer&#13;<br \/>\nGold&#8217;s penetration in high growth regions such as Latin America, with its&#13;<br \/>\ngaming market expected to reach US$3.6 billion in 2023.<br \/>o\u00a0\u00a0 Bolstering localization strategy in both content&#13;<br \/>\nand channel to cater to the specific tastes and needs of the regions Razer&#13;<br \/>\noperates in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><b>RAZER FINTECH<\/b><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recorded 63.7% CAGR in TPV over the last 3 years.<\/li>\n<li>Over 95% of the TPV was driven by Razer Merchant&#13;<br \/>\nServices (&#8220;RMS&#8221;), the Group&#8217;s B2B payment processing business which powers over merchants 60,000 merchants across Southeast Asia. <\/li>\n<li>RMS has made significant progress in the first half of 2021 in the&#13;<br \/>\nfollowing areas:<br \/>o\u00a0 \u00a0<b>TPV:<\/b> Recorded 79.5% year-on-year growth to US$3.2 billion in 1H 2021, driven mainly by e-commerce marketplace purchases, food deliveries and e-wallet top-ups.<br \/>o\u00a0 \u00a0<b>Merchant adoption:<\/b> Recorded 88.6% year-on-year growth to over 60,000 merchants, coming from the retail, food and beverage industries, and professional\/commercial services.<br \/>o\u00a0 \u00a0<b>Key licences and network expansion:<\/b> Strengthened core infrastructure, expanded business footprint, and secured additional licenses across the Southeast Asia region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b style=\"font-size: 1rem\">\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><u><b>ESG<\/b><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Formalized its&#13;<br \/>\ncommitment to the environment with a 10-year roadmap as part of its&#13;<br \/>\n#GoGreenWithRazer initiative, supported by four main initiatives\u2013 green organization, green products, green&#13;<br \/>\ncommunity and green investments.<\/li>\n<li>Announced&#13;<br \/>\nshort-, mid- and long-term plans to bring Razer closer towards building a&#13;<br \/>\ngreener future:<br \/>o\u00a0 \u00a0<b>By the end of 2021:<\/b><br \/>Green Organization: Say no to single-use plastics<br \/>Green Products: Greener packaging<br \/>o\u00a0 \u00a0<b>By the end of 2025:<\/b><br \/>Green Organization: 100% powered by renewable energy<br \/>Green Products: 100% products are recyclable with Razer<br \/>o\u00a0 \u00a0<b>By the end of 2030:<\/b><br \/>Green Organization: 100% carbon neutral<br \/>Green Products: Made of 100% recycled and recyclable materials<\/li>\n<li>As part of the Group&#8217;s drive to galvanize its community to contribute and&#13;<br \/>\nsupport the global green movement, the Group partnered with Conservation&#13;<br \/>\nInternational in October 2020 and introduced Sneki Snek campaign, led by&#13;<br \/>\nRazer&#8217;s fan-favourite sustainability mascot.
