{"id":17119,"date":"2021-08-23T16:09:32","date_gmt":"2021-08-23T16:09:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/?p=17119"},"modified":"2021-08-23T16:09:32","modified_gmt":"2021-08-23T16:09:32","slug":"assistant-block-education-officer-abeo-muribahal-block-dist-bolangir-arrested-by-vigilance-while-accepting-rs-5000-bribe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/2021\/08\/23\/assistant-block-education-officer-abeo-muribahal-block-dist-bolangir-arrested-by-vigilance-while-accepting-rs-5000-bribe\/","title":{"rendered":"ASSISTANT BLOCK EDUCATION OFFICER (ABEO), MURIBAHAL BLOCK, DIST-BOLANGIR ARRESTED\u00a0BY VIGILANCE WHILE ACCEPTING RS.5,000\/- BRIBE.\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cuttack,23\/8\/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- In one more Vigilance Operation today i.e. on 23.08.2021, Shri Devraj Das, Assistant Block Education Officer (A.B.E.O.), Muribahal Block, Dist-Bolangir has been <strong>apprehended <\/strong>by the officers of Vigilance, Sambalpur Division <strong>for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.5,000\/-<\/strong> (Rupees Five Thousand) from complainant for finalization of enquiry proceedings drawn against him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 23.08.2021 wherein the accused\u00a0Shri Das, A.B.E.O. was caught by the officers of Vigilance, Sambalpur Division inside his office room at Muribahal while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.5,000\/- (Rupees Five Thousand)\u00a0from the complainant.\u00a0The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Shri Das and seized in presence of witnesses. Shirt pocket wash of Shri Das, A.B.E.O. gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him.\u00a0\u00a0Following the trap, <strong>simultaneous searches have been launched<\/strong> on the residential rented house of Shri Das at Muribahal, Dist-Bolangir and his house at native village Gudiapokhari, PS-Pipili, Dist-Puri. Shri Devraj Das, A.B.E.O.<strong> has been arrested<\/strong> and will be forwarded to the\u00a0Court.\u00a0\u00a0In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance P.S.
