Almost 30,000 retail shops were onboarded on <b><i>foodpanda&#13;<br \/>\nshops<\/i><\/b> in the past year, with SMEs making up almost half of shops that&#13;<br \/>\nhad gone digital. This marks the first step in helping SME businesses build a&#13;<br \/>\nstrong digital core, to become more risk-resilient and cater to their&#13;<br \/>\ncustomers&#8217; new purchase habits.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img src=\"https:\/\/release.media-outreach.com\/release.php\/Images\/Thumb\/500x0\/171290\/foodpanda1.JPG#image-171290\" width=\"500\"\/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><i>Growing small businesses via foodpanda shops in Thailand<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Online and on-demand delivery platforms&#13;<br \/>\nhave helped retail stores and SMEs stay afloat during the pandemic, during a&#13;<br \/>\ntime where organic in-store traffic was affected due to lockdowns, foodpanda&#13;<br \/>\nhas provided shops a new channel to reach new, digital customers and still&#13;<br \/>\ngenerate new revenues. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Unlike traditional e-commerce, q-commerce&#13;<br \/>\nallows SMEs to have their goods delivered to customers on-demand in 15 to 30&#13;<br \/>\nminutes. With a digital platform to grow their business, SMEs can also tap into&#13;<br \/>\nservices like ads, listing boosting and run promotions to increase revenues. In&#13;<br \/>\nthe past year alone, the number of new SMEs embracing q-commerce increased by&#13;<br \/>\nmore than 430 per cent. This spike in SME growth contributed an overall growth&#13;<br \/>\nof more than 330 per cent for the overall <b><i>foodpanda shops <\/i><\/b>business vertical,&#13;<br \/>\nwhich includes other retail and supermarket chains such as Tesco, 7-Eleven,&#13;<br \/>\nFamily Mart, Watsons and Guardian.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Globally, Delivery Hero, of which&#13;<br \/>\nfoodpanda is a subsidiary, reported on 12 August 2021 in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deliveryhero.com\/newsroom\/delivery-hero-strong-performance-in-q2-2021\/\">Q2 Trading Update<\/a> a 249% growth in orders for its&#13;<br \/>\nIntegrated Verticals comprising the q-commerce business, illustrating an&#13;<br \/>\nincrease in demand for grocery deliveries across the globe.
