{"id":16882,"date":"2021-08-11T16:39:31","date_gmt":"2021-08-11T16:39:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/?p=16882"},"modified":"2021-08-11T16:39:31","modified_gmt":"2021-08-11T16:39:31","slug":"senior-technical-consultant-ssa-joda-block-dist-keonjhar-arrested-by-vigilance-in-disproportionate-assets-worth-rs-14637311","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eodishasamachar.com\/en\/2021\/08\/11\/senior-technical-consultant-ssa-joda-block-dist-keonjhar-arrested-by-vigilance-in-disproportionate-assets-worth-rs-14637311\/","title":{"rendered":"SENIOR TECHNICAL CONSULTANT, SSA, JODA BLOCK, DIST-KEONJHAR ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE IN DISPROPORTIONATE ASSETS WORTH Rs.1,46,37,311\/-."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cuttack,11\/8\/2021 &#8212; On the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Shri Khsetrabasi Mahanta, Senior Technical Consultant, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Joda Block, Dist-Keonjhar, <strong>simultaneous house searches<\/strong> were conducted by 4 places in Keonjhar district on 10.08.2021 by 4 teams of Balasore Vigilance Division comprising 2 DSsP, 4 Inspectors and other staff on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Keonjhar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1 double storeyed building and 1 plot at Pabitradiha Kamargadia, Keonjhar, 2 nos of buses, 3 nos of four wheelers, 1 two wheeler, Insurance deposits over Rs.66 lakh, Bank deposits over Rs.2.42 lakh and other movable and immovable properties, all totalling to over Rs 2.04 crore <\/strong>have been unearthed during the house search.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After thorough search, inventory and further enquiry, the income, expenditure and assets of Shri Khsetrabasi Mahanta, Senior Technical Consultant\u00a0were calculated and he was found in possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income to the tune of\u00a0<strong>Rs.1,46,37,311\/- (Rupees One crore Forty-six Lakh Thirty-seven Thousand Three Hundred Eleven) <\/strong><strong>which constitutes 112% of his <\/strong><strong>known sources of income<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As\u00a0Shri Khsetrabasi Mahanta, Senior Technical Consultant, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Joda Block, Dist-Keonjhar\u00a0was\u00a0found in possession of disproportionate assets, which he could not account for satisfactorily, Balasore Vigilance P.S. Case No.13 dt.11.08.2021 was registered against Shri Khsetrabasi Mahanta U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(b)\/12 PC Act, 1988 as amended by Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018.\u00a0In course of investigation, today i.e. on 11.08.2021, Shri Khsetrabasi Mahanta has been arrested and forwarded to the Court\u00a0of Special Judge, Vigilance, Keonjhar.
