\n Trend Micro Cyber Risk Index shows organizations are at an elevated risk of attack <\/p>\n

\nOutReach<\/a>\u00a0– 4 August 2021 –\u00a0 (;), a global cybersecurity leader, today revealed
\nthat the risk of cyber attacks has increased in the last year. According to a
\nnew survey, 80% of global organizations report they are likely to experience a
\ndata breach that impacts customer data in the next 12 months.<\/p>\n

The
\nfindings come from Trend Micro’s biannual\u00a0Cyber Risk Index<\/i>\u00a0(CRI)
\nreport, which measures the gap between respondents’ cybersecurity preparedness
\nversus their likelihood of being attacked. In the first half of 2021 the CRI
\nsurveyed more than 3,600 businesses of all sizes and industries across\u00a0North America<\/span>,\u00a0Europe<\/span>,\u00a0Asia-Pacific<\/span>, and\u00a0Latin
\nAmerica<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\nCRI is based on a numerical scale of -10 to 10, with -10 representing the
\nhighest level of risk. The current global index stands at -0.42, a slight
\nincrease on last year which indicates an “elevated” risk.<\/p>\n

“Once
\nagain we’ve found plenty to keep CISOs awake at night, from operational and
\ninfrastructure risks to data protection, threat activity and human-shaped

\nof Trend Micro. “To lower cyber risk, organizations must be better
\nprepared by going back to basics, identifying the critical data most at risk,
