This will be a true measure of success for&#13;<br \/>\nus.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><b>Vallen&#8217;s digital strategy for growth<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Vallen started its journey with&#13;<br \/>\nInfor being an on-premise customer.\u00a0 &#8220;On-premise we were heavily modified and supported out of our&#13;<br \/>\nAustralian business,&#8221; says Bennett. \u00a0This&#13;<br \/>\nwas not ideal as the nature of the Asia Pacific business is very different from&#13;<br \/>\nAustralia&#8217;s. &#8220;We weren&#8217;t in control of our own destiny in terms of having the&#13;<br \/>\nsystem work the way we wanted it to support our business. We also had to deal&#13;<br \/>\nwith the whole cycle of upgrades, which became just too hard with the&#13;<br \/>\ncustomization and cost prohibitions, so upgrades got delayed and never happened.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Single-tenant&#13;<br \/>\nwas only a stepping stone to get us to multi-tenant because at the end of the&#13;<br \/>\nday, we wanted a performance asset that will help us drive the business, that&#13;<br \/>\naligns to our business goals of having the right platform to achieve what we&#13;<br \/>\nwant in the market with our customers,&#8221; Bennett shared.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><b>Why&#13;<br \/>\nInfor?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Bennett said that they had&#13;<br \/>\nselected Infor for the upgrade because of the continuity it enabled. &#8220;Our team&#13;<br \/>\nare familiar and comfortable with Infor M3, so change management was less.&#13;<br \/>\nSecondly, we understood and agree with the vision that Infor had put forward&#13;<br \/>\nwith CloudSuite, which isn&#8217;t just ERP but an all-encompassing solution &#8211; business&#13;<br \/>\nanalytics, e-Commerce, and now we&#8217;re also evaluating warehouse management&#13;<br \/>\n(Infor WMS) capabilities as well. It&#8217;s an ecosystem that we could invest in and&#13;<br \/>\nbuild up on as we scale the business. This aligns with our company growth&#13;<br \/>\nplans.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>The third reason was the&#13;<br \/>\nextensibility feature that Infor offered.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\nVallen had targeted to go for a vanilla version of ERP. On the&#13;<br \/>\nmulti-tenant cloud, it is able to take advantage of auto-updates to the latest&#13;<br \/>\nversions.\u00a0 A pre-condition for leveraging&#13;<br \/>\nInfor&#8217;s extensibility platform is to be as vanilla as possible and the organization&#13;<br \/>\nhas chosen to change a few business processes by doing so, but Bennett notes,&#13;<br \/>\n&#8220;It&#8217;s a good time for us to do it. It&#8217;s a good foundational thing to do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><b>Business&#13;<br \/>\noutcomes and e-Commerce new revenue stream<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Apart&#13;<br \/>\nfrom enabling scalable growth, the pivot from using an in-house shared service&#13;<br \/>\ncentre in the early days to a fully SaaS model today has enabled a TCO savings&#13;<br \/>\nof 30% for Vallen.\u00a0 Dedicated IT support&#13;<br \/>\ncost is kept to a minimum with a lean IT team of only two to three to support&#13;<br \/>\nthe company across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and China.\u00a0 &#8220;In the SaaS model, we really rely on Infor&#13;<br \/>\nto provide us that support in a multi-tenant environment \u00a0optimized for AWS for ERP and all those&#13;<br \/>\nconnected solutions \u2013 this ensures we&#8217;re deriving full value from the Infor applications&#13;<br \/>\npurpose-built for our business.\u00a0 That&#13;<br \/>\nleaves us to focus on our core competency.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Productivity&#13;<br \/>\nhas increased with the ability to automate and streamline much more of the&#13;<br \/>\nbusiness using BI that is closely integrated with the Infor CloudSuite&#13;<br \/>\nDistribution Enterprise solution.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n&#8220;Whether it be our finance team for month-end reporting, or different&#13;<br \/>\nfinancial reports that took many hours to create for different stakeholders \u2013 these&#13;<br \/>\ncan all be automated through workflows now and help us digitize paper processes&#13;<br \/>\nand be more efficient &#8212; be they customer orders, quotations or purchase order&#13;<br \/>\napprovals,&#8221; says Bennett.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Harnessing&#13;<br \/>\nSaaS technology to create an additional revenue stream in the new e-Commerce&#13;<br \/>\nplatform is a big plus and aligns with the strategic intent of Vallen&#8217;s digital&#13;<br \/>\nplan for growth.\u00a0 The company&#8217;s integrated&#13;<br \/>\ne-Commerce platform allows seamless management and ease of overall&#13;<br \/>\nconfiguration for the onboarding of new customers and managing new business&#13;<br \/>\nopportunities, without having to deal with the complexities of other&#13;<br \/>\nthird-party applications.\u00a0 &#8220;It allows us&#13;<br \/>\nto be &#8220;always on&#8221;
