APPOINTMENT OF <\/strong>SPECIAL PUBLIC PROSECUTOR (VIGILANCE), BHAWANIPATNA terminated by the govt.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>Cuttack,23\/7\/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- On 3.7.2021, Sri Ashutosh Mishra, Special Public Prosecutor, attached to the Court of Hon\u2019ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna, Dist- Kalahandi was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Cell Division, Cuttack for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.1,00,000\/-(Rupees one lakh) from the complainant in order to help him in a Vigilance Case charge sheeted against him and pending in the Court of Hon\u2019ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna. In this connection, Vigilance Cell P.S. Case No. 2 dated 1.7.2021 was registered.<\/p>\n Sri Ashutosh Mishra, Special Public Prosecutor was arrested on 3.7.2021 in the above mentioned case and forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna.<\/p>\n Following the\u00a0 trap, search was conducted at the residential house located at Radhakrushna Nagar, Bhawanipatna of Sri Mishra and assets\u00a0 worth Rs 85,02,276\/-\u00a0 was detected including cash of Rs.15,60,140\/- .<\/p>\n During the course of further enquiry, income and expenditure of Sri Mishra was ascertained and he was found in possession of assets worth Rs. 75,65,682\/- disproportionate\u00a0 to his known sources of income.<\/p>\n In this connection, Vigilance Cell P.S. Case No. 03 dtd. 19.7.2021 U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(b) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 as amended by P.C.
