These included, Digital Skills;&#13;<br \/>\nInnovation and Problem Solving; Life Planning; Communication and Cooperation; Wellness&#13;<br \/>\nManagement; and Resilience and Crisis Management. This year, the HKFYG launches a new book along with a&#13;<br \/>\nseries of summer programmes aimed to enhance practical skills and value&#13;<br \/>\neducation.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>The forthcoming book, <b><i>Six&#13;<br \/>\nFuture Skills You Should Learn Now<\/i><\/b>, provides teachers, youth workers,&#13;<br \/>\nand parents with in depth explanations and insights, as well as teaching&#13;<br \/>\nresources and cases studies on the skills needed for the future.\u00a0 Given the development of artificial&#13;<br \/>\nintelligence and advanced technology, education has tended to focus on practical&#13;<br \/>\nand professional skills, but has neglected the development of important soft&#13;<br \/>\nskills such as attitude, values and resilience. Addressing this imbalance, this&#13;<br \/>\nbook provides a valuable educational reference and comes highly recommended by&#13;<br \/>\nPrincipal Lee Chack Fan, one of the Theme Writers of the Hong Kong Book Fair&#13;<br \/>\n2021.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Supported by the HSBC, and organised&#13;<br \/>\nby The HKFYG, the HSBC Future Skills Development Project adopts a three-pillar&#13;<br \/>\nmodel of &#8220;Financial Capability&#8221;, &#8220;Future Skills for Employment&#8221; and &#8220;Innovation&#13;<br \/>\nand Technology&#8221;. These pillars provide diversified learning experiences,&#13;<br \/>\nopportunities for practical application and professional training for youth to get&#13;<br \/>\nready with the skills needed for the future. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Apart from the above new book, The HKFYG&#13;<br \/>\nsummer programmes offer a range of interesting events to attract students. \u00a0These include the Creative Education Unit&#8217;s <b><i>Pitching&#13;<br \/>\nInnoTech Solutions<\/i><\/b>, which welcomes tertiary students to apply their&#13;<br \/>\nknowledge of technology and creative thinking to come up with innotech ideas which&#13;<br \/>\nwould result in impactful solutions. Teams of one to eight students will be required&#13;<br \/>\nto submit a short pitch and ten outstanding teams will be shortlisted for a&#13;<br \/>\nfinal round, with the winning team in line to win HK$80,000 to put their pitch&#13;<br \/>\ninto practice.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Another programme will be conducted&#13;<br \/>\nby The HKFYG Leadership Institute in partnership with Debate Mate from the UK. The&#13;<br \/>\n<b><i>Chamber&#13;<br \/>\nDebate Club<\/i><\/b> will focus on learning the nuances of parliamentary debates&#13;<br \/>\nwhich are actually a common format for debate competitions around the world. This&#13;<br \/>\nfour-week intensive professional training and competition is open to senior&#13;<br \/>\nsecondary school students and will also enhance their knowledge on world events,&#13;<br \/>\ncollaboration and creative problem-solving skills. Outstanding debaters will&#13;<br \/>\nhave the opportunity to go head-to-head with peers around the world.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>The <b><i>$avvy Planner Workshops<\/i><\/b>, launched&#13;<br \/>\nby the Federation&#8217;s Youth Employment Network, is the first board game in Hong&#13;<br \/>\nKong that focuses on career planning and financial management.
