Cuttack,3\/7\/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 3.7.2021, Sri Ashutosh Mishra, Special Public Prosecutor, attached to the Court of Hon\u2019ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna, Dist. Kalahandi has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Cell Division for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.1,00,000\/- (Rupees One Lakh) from \u00a0complainant Sri Malaya Kumar Rana, ASI (now under suspension) of Kalahandi District in order to help him in a Vigilance case charge sheeted against him and pending in the Court of Hon\u2019ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna.<\/p>\n
Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 3.7.2021 wherein accused\u00a0Sri Ashutosh Mishra, Special Public Prosecutor was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Cell Division while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.1,00,000\/- (Rupees One Lakh)\u00a0from complainant Sri Rana.\u00a0The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Mishra and seized in presence of witnesses. Right hand wash as well as pant pocket wash of Sri Mishra gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him.\u00a0\u00a0His residential house at Bhawanipatna is being searched. During search, among other things, cash of more than Rs. 15 Lakhs (Rupees Fifteen Lakhs)<\/strong> has been recovered so far. He has been arrested and is being forwarded to the\u00a0Court.<\/p>\n In this connection, Cell Vigilance P.S.
